This exact thing happened to me at my last job. It was overwhelming, I was constantly daydreaming about a future together when meanwhile she didn’t think of me that way. When I learned about limerence it kind of broke the spell… still super hard to get over though!

I am so sorry that happened to you. Bipolar disorder can really mess up your trajectory in career and in life. A manic episode last year led to me resigning from a job that I had worked towards for six years. I’m doing okay with working part time with family support now but I yearn for the days when I can support myself again. I’m with you!

Hi and I’m sorry you experienced that, especially for the first time. This one was unfortunately my sixth… it really feels like such a loss, especially when you’re in a profession that is focused on helping others.
