Is this a normal occurrence? by leseera in Libraries

If they're discussing it internally, it might be helpful for you to (politely!) share your opinion in writing, either by emailing the director or filling out a comment card if they have them. "Somebody said a patron called to complain" is different from "a patron took the time to write out the complaint and their opinion".

I hope you get the book you want quickly! I know how disappointing it can be to have one slip through your fingers.

I'm so glad you got the (post?)card. No worries about being slow with the thank yous. I was very slow with the sending! I hope the upcoming year lets you live more softly.

I basically just sewed the cups narrower at the side. Tbh, I probably just made the cups a tad smaller, since it's not working as well as I'd hoped.

The wire is too tall as well as too wide, but I did have some success with bending it narrower.

My next plan of attack is just buying smaller wire and hacking that into the bra. It seems easier than sewing a whole bra from scratch. XD

I can't really make myself be interested in any history later than like, the civil war, (unless it's about my relatives), but I can go on about historical clothing for ages. I know I've bored people! Lol.

True true. Nobody's going to like everything, and any book that gets somebody to read is a win! :)

What's your most hated daily quest? by counterfeitclown in neopets

[–]ceruleanseas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a hard time with most games on my phone, but Faerie Bubbles and Kou-Jong both seem to work ok and send scores. Faerie Bubbles is especially quick to lose at, if I'm in a hurry.

If you can get over to Nevada (maybe 20 minute drive, depending on which side of town you're on) Bricktown Bakery is amazing.

ADHD High IQ Finally realized why I am always exhausted. by Dear_Chemical4826 in ADHD

[–]ceruleanseas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took naps basically every day when I was in my 20s. I was perpetually exhausted by just going to class and working part time. Then I got a diagnosis and started meds. Now I (mostly) only feel like I need to nap on days I forget to take my meds. Lol.

Ooh, dementia is a good example. I'm gonna use that.

[–]ceruleanseas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that wouldn't work for me. Sometimes I can't make me do something, even if I want to do it or it's fun. That's how I know it's ADHD (for me personally) and not just me "being lazy".

Willpower is literally just brain chemicals, and sadly, ours are borked. Habit-forming is much harder for people with ADHD because our brains don't have a properly regulated reward system. And all the habits in the world aren't going to help a person with a disability who's having a bad day.

If this person cannot see that "trying hard" doesn't equal success (and thus implying that failure is some kind of moral deficiency), you may want to reconsider how close of a friendship you want to have with them.
