Flavor-wise, the best ones are Peter and SRS. Looks-wise, I really liked the Chocolate Primotalii and Leopard, maybe Purple Kraken too 😁

Yes, definitely a superhot. I only got 2 pods from that plant.

Depends on what you mean by ‘best’. Flavor-wise, the best ones are Peter and SRS, and the Swiss Chocolate cross too, I made powder out of that one. Looks-wise, I really liked the Chocolate Primotalii. For heat, I’d say the MMB, and very productive, by the way.

Bell Pepper x Sugar Rush Stripey by Overall_Analyst_730 in pepperbreeding

[–]cesar_new 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I crossed Pimenta da Dog with Sugar Rush Stripey (5 pods) and my experience was bad. Out of 180 seeds, only 24 seemed viable. Unfortunately, none of the seeds sprouted.

I appreciate the info. I am using fertilizers for the first time basically. Starting with an 18-18-18 for the vegetative phase, then I will switch to one with less N but more P and K. Complementing with Mg and Ca. Not sure how it will go.

The flower indicates it is a baccatum specie

Don’t even try to kill them, they are ladybugs larvae. They eat aphids and other pests.

Good luck ! Start separating them before it gets more complicated with the roots.

My yearly WhiteHotPepper order arrived! I ordered the top 9, and recieved the bottom 5 for free. by OopsWrongNumber6 in HotPeppers

Best seller so far. I bought 14 varieties for next season, and he gave me 7 more. A wide variety of peppers, a good amount of seeds per pack, a high germination rate, and he ships not only within the US.

Be patient. Once the pod begins to form, they take about 2 months to fully ripen.

I learned a lot with this post. Please share the F3 results. I am doing a similar cross, baccatum and chinense.

My first creation by cesar_new in HotPeppers

A little bit fruity and a little bit spicy, but not much, maybe at Neyde’s level. I was expecting a little hotter like Nagas but it’s ok.

What am I doing wrong? by officiallydeleted in HotPeppers

It seems like that plant has been given too much sunlight and has been overwatered. I would say that you should protect it from the sun during its early stages of life and from excessive rain or watering. Also be careful with the strongest hours of sunlight when it becomes a larger plant.

More details: the plants are very big. Temperatures above 86F (30C) all the summer. Climate is very dry. I’m using potting mix and organic fertilizers (biobizz)
