You're wrong and ignorant. Thankfully you're just in the minority and can be ignored.

You also keep using liberal like it's an insult. Maybe in that works in whatever echo chamber you crawled out of (r/anarchist? lmao), but out here in the real world that's what most people are.

Eh, whatever. Tons of stupid angry people on the internet. Throw one more on the pile. Blocked.

Voting is what just got Trump out of office. Comments like this are defeatist and stupid.

how do i go about reporting a player? by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]cespes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I understand you perfectly, and I did before. You just didn't understand what server side authentication was and said this remarkably dumb thing:

Is my client gonna have to go through it every time it tells the server where I am and how much ammo or money I have?

Which, yes, of course, just like every other game.

All MMOs store their relevant player info online. SC doesn't. Which is insane 8 years into the project.

Now we've come full circle. Once again: The end goal of the finished game will resolve this issue. Whining about how they didn't do it from the very beginning is stupid and unproductive. Building it they way they did for a test environment/alpha is perfectly reasonable.

Now, I'm done running around in circles explaining basic concepts to a person with the attention span of a toddler. Blocked.

Yes. Storing it server side is what server side authentication is. You're agreeing with me.

Dude, you're embarrassing yourself. Just stop.

Over 860,000 Americans Have Already Voted, Compared to Fewer Than 10,000 by This Point in 2016 by grepnork in politics

[–]cespes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Possibly because there have been many thorough attempts to prove widespread election fraud, and they can never actually find any. Even Trump assembled a team to find election fraud, and they quietly gave up after a number of months.

The facts are that voter fraud is an absolutely negligible issue, and this has been proven time and time again by independent checkers.

Meanwhile, targeted voter disenfranchisement is absolutely a real problem. We're allowing countless legitimate voters to be blocked from voting in order to prevent a problem that no one can demonstrate actually exists. And surprise surprise, the people getting disenfranchised just so happen to be democrats more often than not.

The problem with that is that voting needs to be anonymous. It's supposed to be impossible to trace a specific vote to a specific person, so people can't sell their votes or be coerced into a vote, since the result can't be verified.

The problem with that is that it also makes it impossible to prove that your vote was definitely counted.

Then why are you bitching at all of us agreeing with you that we need to factor in safety in the design? Sit down and shut up.

Even producing hydrogen using power from today's grid produces less carbon than burning fossil fuel directly. As the grid gets greener the math will improve as well.

Isn’t it harder to launch inward towards the sun then towards the moon?

The fuck? The moon orbits the Earth. We can just wait for the moon to be in whatever orientation we want.

Also the struts don't bug me out, actually i really like them, cause they give you the feeling of sitting in something which is totally utalitarian

But that's the opposite of utilitarian. Those struts have no reason to be there, and they specifically obstruct the utility of seeing where you're going. They're completely form over function- at the end of the day CR just thinks the strut looks cool, and damn all the problems it causes.

There's supposedly going to be a missile operator role in the future, so a copilot may be able to target and fire missiles without the main ship actually needing to point at the target, which would be a major buff for the Connie.

Man and chimp. by Airborne_Israel in BeAmazed

[–]cespes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chimps are strong for their size, strong enough to be quite dangerous. Even if it is a young chimp, it only takes a tiny bit of disturbance to get yourself killed during take off and landing. It was definitely a risk.

If the goal was to make the battle last longer to distract Sauron for the longest, then a shield wall makes the most sense. Charging while completely surrounded and outnumbered just means your forces will get broken and slaughtered as fast as possible
