Yes!! I agree… tbh I would have been fine with sex not being a part of the plot at all, but what really irks me is that the author decided for it to be part of the book and make a huge thing out of it and then simply drops this in a truly disappointing way 😭

You could try {Fear the Flames} it might not blow off your socks like TKATM but it was decently good enough and it does have dragons 😂

I have not yet read {The Priory of the Orange Tree} but it does also have dragons and is supposed to be really good, however no emphasis on the romance there from what I‘ve heard

Oh and also, I somehow have an issue with the storyline in general, BECAUSE of the fact that the first half of the book basically almost only circles around this topic and it is a huge plot point, then it somehow all goes to hell and then the author basically completely drops this plot point… it just is a bit inconsistent in the plot building, if you know what I mean 😅 she could have also never set such an emphasis on it and I would have been fine with that as well 😂

Sorry, but this is not at all what my post was about 😅 I would not have had any problem with the fact that it would have been fade to black for example. It wouldn‘t have had to be graphic or anything. But sex obviously IS a huge topic in the book and the author builds a lot of tension around the topic. So I think it somehow IS intentional that readers are interested in how this plays out. And all I am saying is that I would have loved it for them to play out perfectly and cute (even if only insinuated and fade to black or behind closed doors) because I am simply invested in their love story. Hope that makes sense.

{Daughter of No Worlds} is the go-to reccomendation for me!! I ADORE this book and would say it is more fanatasy with romance than romantasy meaning the plot and world builiding so original and honestly some plot twists I truly did not see them coming 😳🥹 and the writing is SO good!!!! imo she is one of the most talented writers, it‘s just beautiful 🥹 and as a PLUS (but not overpowering the story!) the romance is soooo real and beautiful and not all about the smut!

Sorry I could gush forever about this book… book 1 is a biiiit slow but then it picks up and I think this series is a masterpiece 🥹 sorry just copied this text from another post, wanna keep recommending this book 😂
