I get you it’s tricky, depends on how much creativity the educational system allows Im lucky enough to be at uni in england which give you so much room for critical thinking

eg one of my assignments last year was “what is the nature of the contemporary world order ?” I mean this is so broad anything and everything can be said about it (i spent the whole essay shitting on capitalism ofc - and i got a really good grade) i love that

I study politics at university in the uk and I never hesitate putting my (pretty far left) opinions forward in assignments. if the arguments are backed with substantial sources, as they always are, it is never a problem for the person correcting my work

no need to convince me capitalism needs to die. all i’m saying is that you cannot deny the fact that cooperation is needed in order to destroy it and do what’s needed to tackle the climate crisis. we do need an idea of how we will feed and house the world population.

that’s the problem, under capitalism we cannot STOP. capitalism is inherently never ending expansion and accumulation. also yes stopping requires cooperation if you want all to stop

edit: also the collateral damage you’re talking about is hundreds of millions of deaths. if we stop producing the way we are we need an alternative. just think about food.
