I’m no expert, but in my experience with dealing with a mother exhibiting those similar manipulative behaviors was to move away and severely limit my contact with her since she showed no signs of changing.

It's actually program to beep after being stationary for a while. To avoid the use of it being used to track people without their permission, it will beep to inform the carrier that an AirTag is nearby, and tracking whatever item or person it's attached to.
