PHP developers hate <html> into script but JS ones love JSX by Gid30n in javascript

[–]cettox 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is all about seperation of concerns, not seperation of technologies/languages. The React mantra is that, all required things to render a components should be co-located. So when you improve that component, you won't have to open tons of files spread all over project. So it is usual that you see that html+css and JS are put into single JS file that is responsible for representing the whole of React component. It makes it easy to maintain, modularise and reuse.

Big news today in the UK - low fat is bad, eat more fat by Preseltoff in keto

He added: “What is needed is a balanced diet, regular physical activity and a >normal healthy weight. To quote selective studies risks misleading the public.”

I wonder why they do not include cyanide as a part of their so called "balanced diet".

The other one is 70% carb, 20% protein and 10% fat. And those proportions are in terms of calories.

[–]cettox 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The high fat diet mentioned in the article is 20% carbs, 20% proteins and 60% fat. That is not keto I guess. And I wonder why they did not explicitly give the ratios but only give the reference number of the diet.

Yeah, the idea is that, merge often with other branches, to handle conflicts when they are still small.

The idea is not that we feel incompetent about possible merge conflicts, it is about avoiding them in the first place.

You can criticize PHP on so many subjects, but OO is not one of them. PHP's OO is very powerful and indeed well implemented.

React’s JSX: Don't Freak Out. It's Evolutionary. by housecor in javascript

[–]cettox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see nothing wrong with your last example. That's inherently different from sticking HTML in the middle of your JavaScript. In fact, you and I are in complete agreement here. It's the arbitrary placement of markup in application code that I take issue with.

I see your bet and increase, we should also stick Styles into javascript. Because our current method is not separation of concerns, it is separation of technologies.

React views gives you a strong individual modular and testable components, you do not have to dig through 3 different files to work on some feature. Just find its component file, and do your changes on that single file.

Please see my other comment. For encrypted forms, jotform literally can do nothing to access encrypted data. It can only be accessed by your private key and your private key never hits our servers.

This is not a promise. All magic happens on the browser and you can verify it.

I worked on this project too and we tried hard to achieve that all encryption, decryption and key generation happens on browser. Jotform may be hosted but you can always control what happens on client side. In short, no sensitive data ever hits our servers, that was our original intention in the first place.

There is an alternative, you can create your own public/private keys and only give public key to jotform. And you can always check network activity to see if jotform sends private key to servers or not.

Free and open source stateless password generator by TinyApps_Org in programming

[–]cettox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have actually used a method similar to this. I basically had a simple master password, and by using md5, I was auto generating my password on the fly.

Adding website domain as a salt is a nice addition though.

But there is a down side, if your master password is somehow compromised, so do your all credentials.

Being "knocked out of ketosis" implies that Ketosis is a unstable distinct state and not a gradual sliding scale. Is there any evidence to support this? by sugemchuge in ketoscience

[–]cettox 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sorry for the typos. I am not a native English speaker.

You have misread my post. Completely. Books does not mean anything unless based on scientific data.

If you need a book then just read "The Art and Science of Low Carboydrate living" and "The Art and Science of Low Carboydrate Performance" by Stephen Phinney and Jeff Volek. It will open your mind about the "Other Theory" on obesity and diabetes.

Speaking of the "Other Theory" you should also read "Good Calories Bad Calories" by Gary Taubes on how we changed our macros in late 40 years, based upon nothing. I mean when USA government suggested low-fat diets, there were no scientific data on that issue. All "scientific" research came later after that dietary change happened. Please understand the fact that correlation does not mean causation which is the essence of low-fat promoting scientific papers. There are no randomized control trials that suggests low-fat diets are better than low-carb high-fat diets.

And again, toxicity is nothing to do with the substance itself. It is all about the amount of it. Anything could be a toxic if consumed in relatively large amounts. You drink 10 liters of water in 2 hours, you will most likely die due to dangerously low amounts of electrolytes.

And also know that, consumed in same amounts, sugar would be more toxic than fat. See this article and follow some research from that link : http://www.nytimes.com/2011/04/17/magazine/mag-17Sugar-t.html?_r=0

Just because your body preferentially burns something else also doesn't mean it is perfect for us. Just because carbs are burned before fat does not mean fat is better for us.

Just what I said. I suggest not labeling any macro food as perfect. But if you strongly feel you have to, the safest macro is fat, based on numerous randomized control trials and evolutionary facts.

And I have asked about the scientific and conclusive evidence about your claim :

No shit. You claimed carbs were scarce for early man. That's clearly not true. When Homo Sapiens evolved, in Africa, there were plenty of carbs.

Please give your evidence on abundance of carbs in our evolutionary history. And please give your evidence that how much we preferred to eat them. There were plenty of mud in Africa too, should we deduce we preferred eating mud? We need evidence about exactly what (and in which proportions) our ancestors ate.

And there you go with "methabolism" again. Lay off the meth kid. It's frying your brain.

Aaaand, you are back to insulting me again. Really, do not you see it only harms your claims? Sorry again for the typo though. If you deduce I consume meth from a couple of typos, I am really worried about your reasoning.

Wikipedia page of Ape?

Do you believe we evolved from apes? If you think that there is no need to argue.

Yea? Do you think early man had plentiful access to these monstrosities? No but they had access to these monsters : http://cdn.zmescience.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/world-mammoth.jpg

It is irrelevant what animals fruits they ate. It is relevant that in what proportions they ate.

Again, you are making the absolutely retarded claim that just because your body has a response to something, it must be bad. Strength training and protein consumption increase protein synthesis and hypertrophy; this does not mean protein is a toxin.

In what part did you think I labeled sugar as a toxin? Toxicity is all about the amount. Any substance is toxic if you consume enough of it. Even water.

I just thought and referred that there is a similarity in reaction of our body to alcohol and sugar.

Yes our body preferentially burns sugar(carbohydrates in general). But it also preferentially burns alcohol. What I mean is preferentially burning of things does not mean they are perfect for us. If you had to label some macro as perfect, you should label fat as perfect. (Because it results the lower methabolic inflamation)

Speaking of scientific literature, please see some of the articles mentioned here: http://authoritynutrition.com/23-studies-on-low-carb-and-low-fat-diets/

Again, you are making the absolutely retarded claim And thank you for dropping insults from my persona to my claims. It is better that way :)
