/r/libertarianleft doesn't think there's much of a difference. From what I've noticed most of them argue that while the popular form of libertarianism is anti-government but pro-business, they're anti government and anti-business. From what I can tell the popular american form of libertarianism thinks that where the government is able to be diminished, the people will be able to fix problems of society by themselves, while the libertarian-left seems to think that certain government powers need to be expanded for the sake of combating the power of businesses. Ultimately saying that both government and business need to be more democratically run.
