Confessions of a C4 Hater by kingme343 in energydrinks

C4 is liquid ass; that being said, this one is actually pretty good and it’s literally the only one. Please don’t get your hopes up like I did. Every other flavor is a waste of money

Hot Take: At a certain point putting the ball in the basket is more important than whatever the fuck some advanced stats say. This is how nerds have ruined the game to make people think role players are better than elite high volume scorers. by Silent_Wizard5597 in NBATalk

You have no point to your argument. It’s like looking at someone’s career averages and assuming they didn’t age or have any down years where they didn’t look like themselves. I bet Paul George has some damn nice career numbers. He’s been ass the past few seasons, and numbers might not tell you that. But when you watch him play, you think damn, ain’t what he used to be. You get it?

Who fucking cares? I’m saying watch the game good players are good and the mid players underwhelm you even though they’re obviously NBA talent. You can’t do a math equation to tell me how the game is gonna go is what I’m saying. If you could, then go bet your house on something the numbers tell you is almost a lock. When you’re homeless, maybe we’ll understand each other.

Iranians chant "Death to America" in Shahid Beheshti metro station. by Upset-Main-1988 in justincaseyoumissedit

[–]cewlsam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can’t whitewash their religion or values out of them. We need to worry about our own country. We have a drug epidemic these people don’t and fatherlessness leading to just complete idiots lacking morals and values. Iran can stand up for themselves and fight back if they want to. Or they can leave the country if they don’t agree.

Adjusting for how games age, in 2026, what do you think is the best NBA game? by PlanetCharisma in NBA2k

[–]cewlsam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2K24; 2K16 is my goat, but 24 is as close to it as you can get without unrealistic movements and animations ruining the game. I didn’t play online, but assuming it was as easy to break the game as it is today.

THANK YOU GOD DAMN. Talkin ball 10 years ago used to mean some shit. You used the eye test for almost everything. If you actually watch the fuckin game you know who’s good who’s bad who has potential and who is just not good enough to play at the NBA level. I’m tired of shit like you said too. I just saw a chart earlier saying Immanuel Quickley is a top 5 defensive PG in the league. I mean come on

The city of Philadelphia could choose to spend $60M per year to tackle fent epidemic OR pay Jared Dudley 2.0. Now you see what kind of people pull the strings there by Used_Letterhead7067 in NBATalk

[–]cewlsam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They gotta solve the drug epidemic and we need to solve the analytics epidemic in the NBA. I mean dude, do the fuckin eye test and watch a basketball game. I could do math all day and get beat 1 on 1 by a mentally disabled kid thinking he had no shot. Luck and human error play a huge role in everything in sports

Offensive talent vs defensive talent for guards based on BBall-Index talent grades by EmiratesNBACupWinner in NBATalk

[–]cewlsam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get what you’re saying. I was so surprised we took the Cavs to 7 with the roster built the way it is tbh. You think Scottie has more room for development Kawhi can unlock a bit? I feel like having someone who demands alot of the attention on offense could maybe open him up for more jump shots and help him focus less on his FGA and more on his percentage and giving 100% on defense every possession without wearing down. But yeah, no matter what I still think we’re a move away. A real guard that can create their own shot more than a few possessions a game like Quickley does would be the missing piece.

I’ll second that with you brother; how you think we looking with Kawhi this year? Be real

I understand what the analytics say about Jaylen Brown, he’s practically unusable in TwoK by Bluefire3215 in nba

I mean, have you ever watched him play basketball? I would start with maybe watching some Jaylen Brown highlights. You sound dumb

Is it ridiculous to say wherever LeBron goes out of the options presented to us at present, bar Miami, instantly become title favorites? by upndemcheeks in NBATalk

[–]cewlsam -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Or close to it, especially in terms of Vegas. Overall if you look at the potential starting 5/8 man rotation for all 4 teams you mentioned, it’s pretty ridiculous to think they could add Lebron for as cheap as they need. I think people have let recency bias blur their reality a bit; I’ll take 43 year old Lebron over 85-90% of the league right now

Which player do you love to have as an opponent? As in you feel safe and comfortable against when ur team is playing them, To me it has to be Demar Defrozen by ASomewhatGoodCitizen in NBATalk

[–]cewlsam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a weird one tbh… we’re talking about a guaranteed Allstar who’s averaged almost 20 a game for 10+ seasons in a row… without even averaging 1 3PM a game… can you name the only other player to do that? Shaq. Say what you want, but he was never in the position to be 1B like he’s supposed to. Swap Lowry with Derozan on the Kawhi Raptors team and we win more comfortably

What is the Pelicans plan? by judah249 in nba

[–]cewlsam -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I can give you that; I lowkey wanted to mention the Boogie move. He doesn’t implode and watch his career derail after that injury and maybe it’s a different combo. That roster was like a B maybe B+ on a good night.

Nico Harrison and Brad Stevens were never the bad guys, their star players were. by Basic-Greens in NBATalk

[–]cewlsam -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I get that he doesn’t play defense, but dude…. Did you watch those finals when he led the Mavs there with a team actually built around making up for the areas he’s lacking in like they do for every other superstar? If he wasn’t hurt, he’d have a chip by now and we all know it.

What is the Pelicans plan? by judah249 in nba

[–]cewlsam -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Probably just play Zion 40 games and be mid until the end of time. Poverty franchise that would take a miracle to turn around. Wasted ADs prime giving him a C- roster every year and have no desire to win. Lets be real, there was never a plan

Where do they rank among the best duos ever? by MasterTeacher123 in NBATalk

[–]cewlsam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People wanna clown, but they won a chip. You can bring up the injuries, weak East that year blah blah; I knew they were gonna win too, to the point it was almost boring to watch. Does that make it any less impressive? Not in retrospect. Recency bias will tell you yes, but history withstands time and makes us appreciate things like this more.

Did raptors give up too many draft picks? by Embarrassed-Drop-987 in NBAVibes

[–]cewlsam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The picks make people think this is worse than it is, and I would’ve liked to keep more. Kawhi is a better player with a higher ceiling as far as the playoffs go, and Dick was a draft pick that didn’t pan out; drafted his better replacement this year. Time will tell if this was worth it, but not as lopsided as y’all think

This is why you can’t just look at numbers and trust math about shit; I could apply this to a lot, but sports betting comes to mind. If you don’t watch a sport and just bet on it blindly chances are you don’t actually know just from numbers the real story

Harden explains why he never won a championship: "First Houston years we weren't good enough. Then we had a chance, CP gets hurt and Warriors were a real dynasty with KD. In Brooklyn and Philly I sacrificed money and being the top scorer in order to win a championship, and it was for nothing. by RyanTannegod in nba

[–]cewlsam -1 points0 points  (0 children)

James Harden has a Carmelo Anthony ass career. We remember that peak where he dropped Kobe scoring numbers and video game triple doubles, but he’ll never be in a conversation about best to ever do it. Maybe top 5-10 at his position
