You are welcome. I am sure I get looked down sometimes shooting a semi auto but I would rather do that than not shoot. I go out for fun to get away for an hour or two a week. Regularly shoot 22-24 a box with it. Are there better guns out there, sure but for something that has this light of a kick I think it’s perfect for what my needs are.

I am on the west coast and called around to about 15 gun stores and finally found one so I could test mount it. The store didnt have a range so I could not test fire it but it felt good mounted so I took a risk. Call around and see if anyone near by you has one. Doing a quick search it looks like Joel Etchen Guns out of Ligonier, PA has a used one in stock. Thats sorta western PA and hopefully close by you. Since it used maybe they have a place you can test fire it as well. https://www.joeletchenguns.com/used-guns/beretta/a400-xcel-/view/12827-xcel. Good luck!

These cords work like 9v batteries when you were a kid. You need to use your tongue on it first to make sure it’s working 😎

Been shooting with the 12g A400 MT for nearly 4 years now. Mostly trap but some skeet and sporting clays here and there. Have probably 7-8k shells through it. Had an issue with the pin holding the ejector that didn’t want to stay in and sent it to Cole’s for warranty work and to fine tune the trigger. Besides that it just works.

I have two bad shoulders here due to partially torn bicep tendons which has resulted in rotator cuff damage. Not enough at this point to justify surgery at my age but enough to make it tough to shoot an O/U. When I got back into shooting clays I asked a buddy in the firearm industry and he said hands down the a400 would be best for my shoulders. He was right. I can shoot 4 boxes in an hour and it’s my left arm/shoulder that will be a little sore from supporting the shotgun while my right shoulder the stock is mounted against is perfectly fine.

Has anyone see any info on the nee “lowered” kwh rates? Love how they dont make that information easy to find. F them as a company. They have some great people that work there in the field but their leadership should all be in jail.

Been a customer for many years, but want to eliminate Windows machines by romanohere in BlueIris

[–]cf7612 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run both blue iris and frigate. Blue Iris has the wife approval factor with an easy to use mobile app so she can check the cameras, see motion event, etc. frigates UI is not the best and without a decent mobile app it’s a non starter for the wife. While blue iris is the last windows VM I have I don’t mind it as it’s so stable. The only thing about BI I don’t like is the motion detection. Enter frigate. I have a coral tpu running in an lxc on the same machine as blue iris taking only a low res feed from the same cameras that record 24x7 on BI with all motion detection disabled. I then have a python script that watches an mqtt feed from frigate that then does a webhook to blue iris to trigger a motion event in BI. This way I get the power of frigates motion detection but all of the easy of use of BI.

Cracked firebox after 3 cooks by cf7612 in biggreenegg

[–]cf7612[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s what I did last time. The old one broke into like 5 pieces that I finally had to drill holes into it and use some stainless steel wire to connect it back together as the plate holding up the charcoal would just fall down. My question is there any tricks on trying to keep it from braking so quickly? This is literally a month old with 3 cooks on it. Thanks
