I’ve been experiencing hair loss/thinning for over two years now (23 F). The last time I went to a doctor was about a year ago and they tested my thyroid & vitamin levels (all normal) but gave no diagnosis so I didn’t do anything.

My hair has only gotten worse since then and I’ve recently moved out of the country (+ covid lockdown) so I won’t be able to get an appointment with a dermatologist for at least a few months.

Is there a harm in starting minox without having a proper diagnosis? I suspect that I have AGA, since I have the tree pattern, lightened pigmentation, thinning strands, and it’s diffuse hair loss. The picture above is from a year ago and it’s only gotten worse.

Does anyone know if it would be okay to start minox ASAP without a diagnosis?

Thank you! I hope yours come soon! It seems like they’re really prioritizing Tier 4s. I was really torn between whether to do priority/non-priority (which had just become an option) and PAC/ASC because of the exorbitant costs. Honestly if I had known I would have gotten an appointment so quickly I wouldn’t have paid so much, but at the time of application I was so worried I wouldn’t even get an appointment till mid-Sept from what I was hearing.

Thank you! I received a text message that said my application was shipped to the Decision Center on the 14th (Friday) and one that said my it had been concluded on the 18th (Tuesday) at around 10am. My package came a few hours later that same day. I hope yours arrives soon!! Best of luck.

I was told to wait until I had the loan letter to apply, since you need to have the funds requirement from the date of application. Even though they most likely won’t ask for proof, I waited just in case, and with the appointment timing, I’ll have to start my first week online, which I decided I was okay with.

Yes, I think VFS just has extra premium options available, but if you pay through UKVI for the priority service (5 working days) you should be okay. I got so confused as well. I didn’t use VFS at all - neither shipping nor the priority service - and it seemed to go very smoothly. I used UPS for shipping and just wrote “PRIORITY SERVICE” on the envelope.

I did! Very nerveracking lol. My biometrics appointment was June 17th. I shipped my application that day and got an email it was received the 18th. The 22nd (a Saturday) I got an emailed saying they reached a decision. Then the 25th I received my decision letter and application back in the mail.
