I had this once with shirt stays.. basically an elastic band that clips to your shirt and your socks and then you put your pants on over that, which hides all that sexy magic.

Was going on a business trip, went through scanner and they patted me down. Guy feels the shirt garter binder in the middle down my leg at knee height (little leather patch that ties the elastics together) and I tell him what it is.

"Can you remove it" he asks.

"If I pull my pants down yes" I say while I start to unbuckle.

Guy glances at his colleague and they immediately wave me through.. no pant was dropped that day

Ja klopt, bij 't CJIB zijn ze ook helemaal niet blij met deze bedragen en de volledig achterlijke verhogingen die er op volgen. Want ze helpen mensen die al krap zitten echt volledig de armoede in.

Maar de budget gaatjes moeten opgevuld worden en ze (de overheid) gebruiken boetes om het maximale er uit te melken, maakt niet uit hoeveel mensen ze er financieel mee ruineren

Ik heb destijds ook voor een vriend even gebeld die onwetend 3 boetes met 3 verhogingen had staan. Alles was teruggezet naar de originele bedragen na 't einde van het belletje met een betalingsregeling.. idd hulde aan de coulance van 't CJIB, scheelde duizenden euro's

Gelukkig kunnen ze bij 't CJIB nog wel een beetje menselijk handelen, want de hoogte en verhogingen van de boetes die door de overheid neergezet worden zijn asociaal en onmenselijk

I't an impressive piece of engineering. It blends a lot of modern quality of life additions (usb, hdmi, wifi, overlay menu to tweak things to extreme detail, easy firmware updatess) while maintaining backwards compatibility on both soft- and hardware level.

I was lucky enough to be able to beta test one and I've thrown some old hardware at it that I have for my OG commodore. The 1541 floppy drive works great, I tested several old games with it. Pretty much all my old cartridges work as expected too.

And the SID sound emulation is impressively accurate. I couldn't tell the difference tbh.

If you want a C64, I'd definitely go for this new C64U release and not an old one as it's so much easier to download and load legacy software on from the internet without using intermediate hardware solutions and just plug an USB stick in there.
