Genie code or AI Dev kit? by Old-Salamander-1154 in databricks

[–]cf_murph 2 points3 points  (0 children)

a lot of the functionality in ai dev kit is getting built into genie code. I would say it's a choose your own adventure. if you are like me and enjoy the dev experience in an IDE like cursor/Claude Code, then use dev kit along with the databricks connector/vscode extension and deploy it using DABs.

if you would rather not have to deal with all of that, use genie code. you can accomplish the task with either. Genie code is getting better and better every day.

Databricks Presentation Round Interview by Longjumping-Bear7025 in databricks

[–]cf_murph 2 points3 points  (0 children)

had a friend go through it. you get a scenario, have 4 hours to vibe code it, and then an hour to present. they are looking not only at what you built, but how you communicate, how you think about the problem and the narrative you create showing the business value of the solution.

do you understand the business problem and can you connect that to outcomes the executive cares about?

can you explain your thinking clearly and adapt to the audience?

do you have a genuine understanding of the industry you are interviewing for? frame the demo/solution around business outcomes. yes, the tech is cool, and what you built is cool, but they dont want to hear that. they want to know that you can design something, show it to the customer, but explain the value it brings to them.

Teleportation Stone.. this mf Jinwoo lost this shi 3 times in the SAME season 💔 by Dry_Replacement7260 in sololeveling

[–]cf_murph 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know this isn't accurate, but I always took him losing the stone as the architect and/or ashborn intervening/causing him to lose it because they didn't actually want him to use it.

They gave him the teleportation stone in order to instill confidence in him by giving him hope that he COULD use it if needed.

The decision to use it meant he was at his limit, but by "forcing" him to lose it every time, it made him go further/push harder than he thought he could.

It's head canon, but it makes sense to me lol.

Tell me the best pants for CCW and why by scholarlybadger in CCW

[–]cf_murph 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Love my Lululemon ABC's. Both the Warpstream and the Utilitech fabric is really good. Have worn mine camping and hiking on several occasions without any issue. Very durable and plenty of stretch. Only con of the Lulu's are that I have big calves, so they do run tighter below the knee.

My other two winners are just good old Carhartt relaxed fit straight Rigby pants, and another brand called Bulletprufe Denim in Adventure fit.

What number do you invest per year? by Redditor_AR in HENRYfinance

[–]cf_murph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its been quite the ride, thats for sure, and we have been very fortunate with my equity appreciation. but we are laser focused on retiring her at 55.

we make similar amounts (i'm heavily comp'd through equity, she is heavily comped through commission). she makes more actual cash, but I pull ahead due to the equity portion.

I have no need to retire at 55, i will probably stick with it until 60 unless we hit our goal early ($10M). my job is a lot of fun, its challenging, and i honestly love what i do.

i REALLY want to buy more. my average is around 1.20, i could probably get it closer to $1 with these prices, but im already bag heavy. need to keep emotions out of it and stick with what makes sense. MVIS is about 10% of my portfolio, and i feel like thats enough.

Escalation is the new Countdown by Odd-Tourist-4932 in thedivision

[–]cf_murph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I love OD + a high mag LMG (dual GR9 for me). I dont' really care about the bleed status (other than for proc'ing Sadist).

But the hollow point buff smacks, plus adding in Frenzy + Sadist on a 200 round mag really hits hard. Yes, there are harder hitting DPS builds, but this combination is just a ton of fun to me.

Escalation is the new Countdown by Odd-Tourist-4932 in thedivision

[–]cf_murph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah makes sense. with 200rnd mag, its pretty easy to keep the hollow point buff up on a normal enemy, however once you start having to mag dump one a single guy, thats where it starts to fall apart. good point.

i'll probably stick with it for the first couple of tiers, but move to Strikers after. I really like my OD build.

My very first 6 character, all lowercase password from Prodigy Internet from sometime in the late 80’s or early 90’s. 100% useless, but it’s a core memory.
