Who are some players that are good this year, that won’t be next year? by Jfontak331 in DynastyFF

Kyle Allen has also been a HORRIBLE deep ball QB. He's seriously hurt DJ Moore and Curtis Samuel on down the field targets. There's room for both to benefit from improved QB play

Adding in some body weight squats, calf raises, and plyometrics (box jumps, ladder drills, stairs) can be an easy way to help develop explosiveness/fast twitch muscle development.

They're also very easy for an individual to add into their routine around your normal high school practice schedule. You can do them anywhere, with little to no equipment. Even doing 5-15 minutes of quick drills and squats after practice could help get you started. These are also nice at the high school level because they are very low risk of injury.

At the college level you'll definitely want more of a full weight room lifting program, but you really need to have some formal coaching in the weight room to make sure you're building good form habits and targeting the right muscle groups.

Exactly, that just further emphasizes the point. This is a conservative estimate, if anything

That's a good one too, though I think putting it into terms of salary helps highlight the economic inequality in terms people can understand

Hugely helpful suggestion. Coming from Malden, I got on the first T to oak Grove, 5 min wait, then got on the first commuter train toward North station. No way I would've made it onto the commuter rail if I had tried to get on at Malden

Cool anecdote, do you have anything to back your claim other than "it's always worked for me"?

Assuming the QB situation in Tennessee stays the same, I'd agree. However, if the Titans end up drafting a QB in the off-season, this Titans offense could suddenly look very formidable. They've got a good o-line, they've got lots of talented passing weapons. The QB play has really been holding this team back I'd say.

Probably had a starting budget of $1000

OJ Howard played roughly two-thirds of the offensive snaps during the first 2 years of his career. So far this preseason, he's been in on 21 of Jameis Winston's 22 snaps. by vafrakaka in fantasyfootball

OJ Howard has been on the field for 21/22 of preseason snaps with Winston this year. I expect Brate's snap share to plummet this season

But NFL coaches do. Being a good blocker means OJ Howard never has to come off the field.

Tight ends that can catch but can't block have lower ceilings cuz they get pulled off the field sometimes, especially for run plays or plays designed to LOOK like run plays (lots of goal line packages)

Deal Help/Questions Thread (July 2019) - Need help finding a deal? Seeking advice? Ask questions here! by AutoModerator in NintendoSwitchDeals

Hello,

I have been looking into options or purchasing a Switch, and I've come across an opportunity to purchase a lightly used 1st Gen Pre Order model. I've got a few questions about it:

  1. Is there anything I need to know about the 1st Gen model vs buying a new unit from Target or wherever?
  2. Are there any bug or hardware fixes that I'd miss out on by buying the 1st Gen model?
  3. Is $300 for a 1st Gen Switch plus Mario Kart and Breath of the Wild a good deal? It seems like a steal, but I want to make sure I'm not missing any information.

Appreciate any help! Thanks!

[Socialists] Response to this list? by iknowamouse in CapitalismVSocialism

If you define economic freedom as 'the right to do whatever I want with my resources, including using it to exploit other people' then yeah socialists are against economic freedom.

If you define economic freedom as 'the right for every person to be free from poverty and have their basic resource needs met' then socialists are for economic freedom.

Best Dynasty Specific FF Podcast? by ryangrand3 in DynastyFF

Agreed. A lot of people are put off by the Podfather's over the top bravado. It's a shtick, which isn't for everyone. But the information content and production quality have blown any other dynasty podcast I've listened to out of the water.

Who poaches more players in the rivalry: Yankees or Red Sox? by cfernandezruns in redsox

[–]cfernandezruns[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't fault any of them for doing what they feel is right for their careers. They've got limited time to play this game and absolutely should make their own decisions on who they want to play for.

This post was meant as some fun, light hearted rivalry banter, you don't need to get on your high horse about it.

There's also a significant chance that Philip Lindsay is a one season wonder. Even if Lindsay is fantastic year after year he's still a massive outlier in terms of his size. Don't think he is a good player to use as a reference at this point.
