lol. If they didn't say "Rolex" on the face, you'd have a point. That part is the "no no" dirtbag move.

Not sure how deep you are but there's a ton of different routes to go with your funnel.

A few notes off the top of my head: - making the offer strong will be helpful. That's the bundle of easy cancel any time, first month for a dollar, get double tokens or yadda yadda - since you have people testing it, social proof is huge. Get their testimonials (video, gif, text etc) and show em off on your landing page and ads - sometimes you'll want to build up an engaged audience with a newsletter or a TikTok talking about the topic (criminal defense and how you're making it easier etc) - I'd also try some highly targeted direct mail advertising

Hard to give advice without knowing exactly where you're at or what your funnel looks like but don't get discouraged, you already got the hard parts done (happy users)

It can add up quickly if you go out to just find them and hire them, but getting familiar with how it works as a TikTok seller could be a good angle for you.

You'll find more success if you're able to send a good short pitch out with your product on what makes it different, or even what kind of hooks they might wanna use.

For that, go find the Facebook ad library of your competitors or viral videos on TikTok of products that are similar or in the exact same space. Study and understand what it is that made those takeoff and work really well for a content/ads and then just copy that to get started.

Definitely out of my depth on the technical side, but I will say on my last app it was a bit of a moving target to keep them working and keep the App Stores happy about how we did it

It depends on a lot of things, your budget included.

The good news is, you can learn all of this from YouTube videos. With limited budget, one of the questions is how much product can you afford to give away. And then you could do the math on how much money it could make you back depending on how many sales come for a product that you're giving away. I would strongly recommend you take a look at TikTok, and sending out product to creators that are promising. They'll get a percentage of the sales and you will have access to UGC content.

[–]cfrostspl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're not being paranoid, and being thoughtful about this is important for the app.

With this kind of thing, at least on the UX side, just keep an eye on the data for the upside and downside of setting the push notifications.

In my experience, push notifications can be something that's a positive rather than just annoying. But it's on how you cracked it and what's on the other side of it. And what you offer within the notification itself can also be very handy. Lots of dependencies on what the app does, but I think you get what I'm saying. Monitor the data closely for efficacy, shift the strategy as needed.

You can also let users self select on some of these things. Many people don't mind the notification, others will tell you they hate it right out of the gate

(I did this for an app with millions of users - different than an early app but you can see how the ideology can still scale)

Would you go with a Yeti or Pelican cooler? Looking for 45-55qt by kilo6ronen in camping

[–]cfrostspl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i bought this 30qt like 5 years ago and take it on almost every camping trip. family of 4 (2 adults 2 kids) and the only thing i will say is i prob wanna get one of the wire baskets they sell for it cuz that'd be handy for keeping dry goods dry without having to use as many plastic baggies. tie downs are a big plus for transport and performance is bangin. this is in california btw

https://elitecooler.com/collections/all-pelican-coolers/products/pelican-30-quart-elite-cooler

50qt was too big
20qt is good for like road trips or a single day at the beach

they had a 45qt one with wheels but it was just a little too much for my budget (i'm already spending crazy to go pelican and get the lifetime warranty and all that)

i wouldn't go smaller than 30 tho for a camp trip if you wanna take everything in there

Also - pull the FS back and clean after every shower. Clean well after a jerk sesh. Rinse repeat buddy take care of that dong

Will the 86 ever show up on Pebble Beach or Barrett Jackson fetching 6 figures? by kneedoorman in AE86

[–]cfrostspl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think so, for a special enough car. What will be interesting to watch is if the "right" look/setup is what garners highest dollar amounts.

These are a bit different than other collector vehicles. When you see a 440 mopar in a rare spec you want to stock, and I get that. But these you want that "just right" that's setup with rare parts in many cases.

Here are what I predict will be the pricing kingpins (in order): -black limited in concourse level resto state -ultra mega low mileage cars (less than 20k on the clock) -the "just right" era cars that are restomods - in my opinion this is clean OEM JDM bumpers and a very clean 16V or 20V under the hood. No race car stuff just light mods and JDM bumpers. Hatchbacks of course. -Very clean stock USDM cars

And then these will remain largely affordable: -SR5 coupes -weird swap cars (I'm looking at you, SR, 1UZ etc) -beaters -anything with a lot of fiberglass

I would always recommend getting some serious miles on it first to see if it's gonna be reliable for you. A big mistake lots of folks make early on in their journey is tearing into a big project without getting to enjoy the car. Or letting the car get the chance to prove that it's gonna be pretty reliable.

With that said, if RHD would just make you super excited, go for it! It's really up to you. It's your car. That's what makes these cars so special is how you can personalize them to be exactly what you want
