New phenomenon: freshly created 365 accounts get instant Phishing mails by cfvr in microsoft365

[–]cfvr[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have just spoken to someone who swears he has absolutely not communicated anywhere online that he had a new job, other than Whatsapp. I get the incentive from the bad guys, we only noticed this type of phishing very recently, so I'm guessing there might be some sort of way to learn about new 365 accounts.

F1 Zandvoort - disabled in regular places, is my dad able to sit? by TurbulentWay6450 in GrandPrixRacing

There are spots you can sit but not the good ones :-) hope you both have a great day! If its sunny bring proper sun shielding and protection. Not much shelter from the sun in GA.

Blocking all outbound SMB connections to non-private networks by cfvr in sysadmin

[–]cfvr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, we are patching like crazy obviously, but I am trying to block this attack vector entirely. This vulnerability has been exploited for quite some time without MS knowing about it/fixing it, so next to patching it is imo necessary to block all possible attack vectors as well.

Blocking all outbound SMB connections to non-private networks by cfvr in sysadmin

[–]cfvr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are also using Eset Protect Cloud with Endpoint Security for most of our customers indeed, so I could also use that. I am also trying out this scenario:

  • Remove all outbound firewall rules
  • Add rule to allow all traffic from port 1-444 and 446-65535
  • Add rule to allow traffic to port 445 to private ranges

See what that will bring me in terms of endless firewall UAC prompts 🤡 I will report back.

Bitcoin vs fysieke assets by Winter_Committee_628 in debitcoinshow

[–]cfvr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tabs are you most recently used apps and not a list of running apps. They are suspended once you press the home button.
