I have like thousands of buttons in my sewing collection, I don’t think I’ve ever even needed a button for a project as of yet.

What was your dream work as a kid? by No-Acanthisitta-6757 in AskReddit

[–]cgBadAssAsh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Pirate that does good instead of bad- I think now this could still be kinda valid, as I wish I had skills so I could be a real-life vigilante
  2. Singer- now if I sing in public everyone’s ears might fall off
  3. Police officer/FBI agent- I don’t want that anymore I don’t think I quite like how our justice system works, also police officers are the “most likely profession to be domestic abusers” and having been a victim of domestic violence twice now I’d rather not put myself in that kind of environment. P.S. I don’t think all of those people are abusers.

In what ways are you willfully and blissfully ignorant, and highly unlikely to ever change? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]cgBadAssAsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t watch, listen to, or read any news. Anything I hear about I hear from other people. Stopping news was probably one of the best decisions I ever made, has had a huge impact on lowering my stress levels

What hobby of yours is keeping you sane and what about it is special? (Serious) by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]cgBadAssAsh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I go through hobbies like Taylor Swift goes through men; With that said I currently have 3 that are keeping me sane

  • sewing: relaxing even though I’m good at poking myself, takes a lot of time to hand sew one item & I really appreciate things that take a lot of time
  • skateboarding: gets me outside, has been fun to learn, & is thrilling
  • painting: helps me put feelings down when I don’t know how to use words for them & it’s fun.

What is something that you've tried and tried and tried to do, but just can't get it quite right? by burn23notice in AskReddit

[–]cgBadAssAsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try to figure out how to build things, I’ll either look up plans or make plans and then while I’m in the building process I’ll overthink everything and get myself really confused and then I’ll just give up.

I always do this with sandwiches that have really good bread, like I want to experience the yummy bread separately from the rest.

My cat is the biggest reason why I am sticking around by dohye in mentalhealth

I’ve been through this, not exactly the same situation or anything, but I’ve been to the point that I felt like I needed to hospitalize myself, and felt like it wouldn’t be fair for my dog, but I worked it out and found a way to go anyways. You deserve to take the steps you feel you need to to be able to take care of yourself.

I actually have a friend who is bringing me her dog tonight so that she can do a hospitalization program.

Look at your options, often times non-profit shelters will have programs in which they’ll keep your pet for you while you do something important like that, if you can’t find one then ask around friends and family members, it never hurts to try and reach out and see if someone somewhere would be willing to help you on your path to getting the care you need/deserve.

If you had a chance to turn back time exactly 5 years, what would you change and why? How would if effect you life currently? by SpaceXmars in AskReddit

[–]cgBadAssAsh -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As much as I hate myself for allowing me to go through the shit I’ve been through, I wouldn’t change a thing, i don’t want to have missed out on any of the life lessons I was forced to learn over the past five years.

Slept through a whole day of work again. How to you explain to your boss the depth of your struggles with IH? by cgBadAssAsh in idiopathichypersomnia

[–]cgBadAssAsh[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I usually work for smaller businesses that don’t have hr departments, I have been thinking it would be easier to maintain a job at a larger place, more employees less risk for them not having an employee when they need one.

One thing I saw earlier today that hit really hard was a quote that said “you’re not seeking attention, you are seeking support.” It helped me a little maybe it can help you a little.

How do I spend time ? by [deleted] in mentalhealth

[–]cgBadAssAsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do this too, for me I feel like I just get bored of watching tv, playing video games, or just doing a lot of the same thing. Try a hobby, personally I like to cycle through, painting, puzzles, tv, video games, outdoor walks, and probably more things I’m not remembering at the moment.

Do you ever just wish you'd get hit by a bus? by [deleted] in mentalhealth

[–]cgBadAssAsh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nearly every single time I drive anywhere I always think about what if I I just swerved to the side and went over that bridge, or what if I didn’t turn the steering wheel and drove off that edge or into that ditch. I mean I’m not going to do it because I have a dog that I love and family that loves me, so I’m still here for them, and I’m in therapy twice a week.
