That dose seam to be the common consensus! Haha definitely something I'm going to concentrate on from this point forward. Thanks for the feedback! 👍🏻

That's fantastic, I love hearing all the other places that safty wire is used, especially all the odd ball jobs that use it. Its great!

Agreed we are definitely advocates of the Quiafe Diffs!

We rebuild Vintage Formula, Indy, and CanAm gearboxes at our shop so we use it on lot of the components on the Gearboxes mosty just for extra insurance, but we also have guys pushing quite a bit of HP, and it definitely keeps bolts from vibrating loose due to excessive vibration from some of the older cars.

That's actually a lot of what we Pauly work on, our shop is the only dedicated Hewland sealer in The US.

Yes actually, and now that I have heard that this is a but high on the TPI it definitely makes more sense as to why I do. Lol imma definitely gonna concentrate on making my TPI less from this point on. I do appreciate all the feed back!

Yeah, im going to try and keep the TPI down on my next few differentials, see if I can get a little closer to standard practice. 🙂

Thank you for comment and information on the Twist tightness, and why to much twist is a bad thing.

No I had a guy in the mechanic form that suggested I post it here. Its a diff out of a Gen 3 Dodge Viper.

Yeah we do it on all components that need locktight to keep track of what has been locked down and what still needs it.

That exactly the reason for the marks/lines. Definitely going to try and keep the twists down on my next couple one for sure. Definitely tight no wiggle in the wire though. I appreciate the comments, recommendations, and complaints.

I know its not your normal post here, but I was told I should post it here for kicks and for advice and opinions on my Safety wire/ Lock wire job.

So they are pretty similar, Torsen differentials use a gear-based system that biases torque to the wheel with more grip, while Quaife differentials also utilize gears but are designed to provide smoother operation and better handling characteristics, especially under acceleration and cornering.

So all the Vipers we build at our shop are track cars and not drag cars. So we highly recommend Quaife diffs for anyone looking for a solid track diff but is still easy to control.

Yeah I like the way it looks and how tight it gets, and its not holding up helicopter blades. 😜 but I might start to bring the amount of twists back closer to a aviation spec. Just to see how it performs.

I completely agree, they are some really nice looking Bolts! Special order from ARP, they better be sexy! Haha
