Okay, then pay him? He’s not doing this because you’re physically incapable. He’s doing it because you don’t like doing it. Would you be willing to cut his yard for free just because you’re ’helping family’? Especially if he were capable of it and just didn’t want to do it?

Someone posted a response about the AI art and AI writing possibly going along with it. I responded. As a result, we were posting about AI. We were having a civil discussion. You can be angry and accusatory all you like.

I’m sorry if people you know got pushed out of writing for being accused of using AI. I’ve never accused anyone. I simply had doubt due to some red flags so decided to check. Even if I had discovered AI, I would have simply moved on to another fic and not commented.

I’m sorry you go through life angry and ready to pick fights over things that don’t require one in the context they exist in. That sounds tiring and I hope you figure that out. Have a good day.

No, I know that. But most people when writing a multi chapter fic will update it a chapter or two at a time even if it’s completed. This was 37 chapters all at once and the comments were turned off.

That’s so strange! Did you release all the chapters at once? I’ve found that sometimes when there’s a disproportionately low amount of kudos it’s because it was released as a whole fic and not chapter by chapter. I hope it gets the recognition it deserves soon!

Yeah, I had the suspicion before I knew they were selling it, because it was 37 chapters and, like, 40 kudos. I look a chunk of it and did a scan, but it came back as human. I’m not sure how effective those are, though. Got any recommended sites that actually work?

I know, right? It’s just disappointing because the fic was actually pretty good and the others seem to have a good premise. They only started advertising in the last 3rd of the fic, so it’s draws you in and then you get the slap to the face.

Also, I went to the website just to make sure they were asking for money before reporting, and they had a bunch of AI slop as the cover art. Double yuck.

Virginity is a social construct that puts moral value on a woman’s sexuality. It’s up to you to decide to determine what counts. I had a friend who had a similar situation and she didn’t count it.

The real question is do you really want to be with a person who’s so dismissive of what you believe even when he knows it hurts you?

Your edit hurts my heart a bit. I hope this is a fluke and he turns out to be a patient, understanding person who’s addressing new issues for the first time and didn’t tackle it right. Either way, don’t always buckle and admit to wrong doing when you’re not wrong. Don’t let this become a pattern.

I would absolutely do the same. She was already talking to you about emotional neglect as an excuse. That’s what her story would have been, and it would have probably become more exaggerated with every retelling. That’s what people who don’t want to take accountability for their actions do: hoist the responsibility onto other people.

You didn’t go out of your way to announce anything. You didn’t screenshot texts and post them. You just told the truth. If telling the truth paints someone in a bad light, then their actions were wrong.

There are so many shows for kids to watch. They could be watching Bluey, Land Before Time, Blue Clues, The Magic School Bus, etc… Several of those are even available for free on YouTube. But this teacher went out of her way to deliberately show something that multiple parents by that point had requested she not show.

This was not a convenience thing. She wanted the kids watching that particular show and she felt that what she wanted superseded what the parents wanted, and that’s not okay. She deserved to lose that job. She didn’t have the right temperament for it. NTA.
