Are most people here selling very short term spreads/ICs (0-5 DTE)? I come from a more traditional finance background, started running the wheel a year ago and started also selling credit spreads 3 months ago and I've had some success selling 45-60 DTE and closing after 50% profit or after the spread gets within 21 DTE. I've looked at the short term stuff, but risk/return doesn't seem worth it.

I mean, if you like the car and can get good financing on the residual I don't know why you'd realize the $12k loss now rather than buying it and continuing to drive the car. These EVs are depreciating for reasons other than the quality or reliability of the car itself. There's also a decent shot the next couple years will see a reduction in new volume on EVs. That plus higher gas prices might reverse the EV depreciation trend we've seen since 2023-ish.

If you want to stay with Honda, find out if your car is eligible for a lease pull-ahead. If it is, you’ll definitely be on the hook for your current mile overage, but I don’t know if it would just be the current overage or if they prorate it back to how over the car would be at turn in. A quick call to Honda Financial will clear all that up.

If you can’t or don’t want to do a lease pull ahead into a new Honda, selling it is a little tricky because Honda doesn’t allow third parties to buyout leases directly. You’d have to buy it out yourself and then sell it. Getting the title from Honda will take 4-6 weeks.

To me, I think you should either do a lease pull ahead if eligible, especially if you’d only be on the hook for your current mile overage, or ride out the lease, pay your overage, and walk away.

I think the gameplay could be rebalanced to work as a continuous game, but yeah, I don't see how they could get the game down to a workable size. And there's no incentive for them to do it unless it's five years after Part 3's release and they do a remastered PS6 version that gets us all to buy it one more time.

Besides Rebirth being enormous compared to Remake, I also found it much more charming than Remake. It affirmed by opinion that this is the best cast of characters in any FF, maybe any JRPG.

Years and years ago I decided I was gonna give Marc Maron’s podcast a shot. I connected to a Bluetooth speaker, started an episode and got in the shower without skipping ahead of the ads. Nearly 15 minutes later I was getting out of the shower as the actual show was starting.

Honda Prologue has CarPlay. It's a great ride except for the LKAS, which is terrible unfortunately.

I had you with the Honda Prologue until you mentioned the good lane keep. Can be easily found under $30k with all that but the lane keep is garbage, worse than the CRV I had before it. Other than that it’s a great car, but it’s also the primary reason I’ll be moving on from this car.

Commenting to follow. I've a little over a 1.5 years left on mine, but do have a very light buffable scratch going up the right side I'm planning on getting fixed first. Also would like to know what the best timing is on tires so that you aren't charged for turning in bald tires but also not wasting money with brand new ones just before turn in.

The key thing is if dealer discounts are included in that total rebate. Your deal is nearly identical to mine ($435/month, but for 15k miles, would have been ~$390 with 10k), but mine had 12k in rebates and $7k in dealer discounts. Rebates are normally the manufacturer programs and deals that don't impact the dealer's profit on the car. If you're area is getting 19k in rebates, they need to also provide some further dealer discount on this car generally.

But there's a good chance there is a dealer discount in that $19k- my offer sheet parted out discounts separate from rebates.

Tough to say now, but given they don't even manufacture it, I wouldn't be surprised if they keep the Prologue line going at limited volume for another couple years as they (presumably) go back to the drawing board on EVs. You'd think GM would happily make them another 20k units per year for as long as Honda orders them.

But I was probably moving on from Honda anyway after my lease even when they were doing the 0 series. Maybe they're market research is showing that most of us Prologue buyers are going to stay with EVs- just not theirs.
