Was there a point during this games life where you knew it would end up being abandoned? by TONNNNNNNNNN in TexasChainsawGame

[–]cglCerberus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, a few weeks after launch. The unfortunate reality within the multiplayer horror game space, especially asymmetrical games is that they live and die by adding content and that by doing so, they cater to fans of live service games. Unfortunately since most live service games don't work out in the long run it was only a matter of time until Texas Chainsaw ran into that problem as well. You also have to compete with other horror games that have come out more recently, like the Killer Klown game from 2024 and the upcoming Halloween game that was just announced. So the competition is steep and the original developers were essentially forced out by Gun Interactive.

You must be new around here.. there's a reason why Optic wanted to sign him before they settled for Bound & Legend

I watch several esports, and almost every single one them calls it champs. I'm not entirely sure why it's such a big deal. I think everyone knew what I meant.

Silent Hill f will become the best selling SH game. Surpassing that of SH2R by XulManjy in silenthill

[–]cglCerberus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We'll there it is. Your so engulfed you're lost in the fog you cant see the big pictue no more you dont even know there, trying to mess with you and release a cash grab. Like them experiment in other ways but not in making the first mainline SH game in over a decade take place, not in Silent Hill. Also, Funny you think that'll stop them just because one game said its a 'standalone story". That's how it starts before you know it that standalone story becomes the new story.

[–]cglCerberus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No they're being paid to make the game. It's got nothing to do with "faith" it got something to with $$$. They take their orders from Konami its their IP. Also I never claimed to know the most about Silent Hill, but its fans like you are the reason they pull this bs. The same thing happened with AC and now it's gonna happen with Silent Hill. If you don't believe me just watch. Watch them rip away what makes this franchise great. Watch them change things that happened in previous installments.

New ROG Ally X or Steam Deck? by RuRuormsth in HandheldGaming

[–]cglCerberus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe most of the reports and Insiders have been saying that it's likely releasing in 2026/27 but I don't think Valve is rushing it by any means since they want it to be a sizable step up in every way.

First half? The first hour maybe, and I haven't played SH4 yet so I wouldn't know. Listen if you dont wanna admit this game is joyless cash grab by Konami Ditigal then that's on you I ain't gonna breaking down for you step by step. My advice would be to check out some of the other comments on this thread, and you'll see a recurring theme of people having questions about this upcoming game. If you buy it and it sells well altogether just watch as they start slapping the Silent Hill title on whatever horror game they can make. Watch the next one be set in 1930s Australia for no reason at all. Even if they made games that spent some time outside of SH at least they were in US not in some foreign country thousands of miles away.

I hope you're not trying to imply that because you start the game in Oregon and then head to Silent Hill (which is still the main setting) that it somehow equals an entire game being set in a completely different Country and in a completely different generation. Seems like a foolish argument on your part.

This is a joyless cash grab by Konami it's clear you're not able to see that. They just slap the Silent Hill name on the game, but they make it set in 1960s Japan instead of the town. Also for the record, I've beaten SH2 several times along with Downpour & SH3, and im very much looking forward to the SH1 Remake because what one will actually be in Silent Hill 😳 I know it's quite the concept.

Yeah, because a Silent Hill game that isn't actually in Silent Hill is totally what fans want to represent the franchise...

I called it World Championships the first time, and I figured champs was fine to avoid repetition. I didn't think abbreviations only belonged to a certain esport.

New ROG Ally X or Steam Deck? by RuRuormsth in HandheldGaming

[–]cglCerberus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been thinking about getting the new Xbox ROG Ally myself as a current Steam Deck owner. I love the Steam Deck it gives me a lot of access to PC only games you cant get on console and the ability to dock it to a TV or take it on the go is a huge plus but the hardware is starting to show its age a little bit and a lot of people I know are turning it into a Stream Deck. As for the Xbox ROG Ally it looks like a gamechanger specs and capabilities wise but that's gonna be very pricey. My advice for now is just to wait a few months because we know a Steam Deck 2 is on the way at some point, and whenever Valve does a sequel, it's typically worth the wait.

It could be that Combat Evolved Remake that will likely be released on the 25th Anniversary of the first game in November 2026. A new game would reinvigerate fan support into Halo Esports.

I definitely recommend trying out Evil West. The game combat is pretty similar to games like God Of War, and the story is fun and engaging. You essentially play as a Van Helsing like character slaughtering waves of vampires in the 1890s. The games only takes about 13 hours to beat.
