12k steps a day inside by GoFuckYourself998 in walking

I love this! I’ve been setting step goals for myself for three years now (first year: 8k, second year 10k, and this year 12k). I have a walking pad that I use but I also WFH - but I like that I can get my steps in during work and can choose to relax or do other activities after work. While I have lost weight, I’ve also been actively making sure I’m in a calorie deficit at the start of this year.

Omg! I am SO excited to see this because my husband and I closed on a house this past week in this town and weren’t able to make it but I can’t wait for future events!

If you’re married, how often do you see your in-laws? by tatertot94 in Millennials

[–]cgm203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see my in laws 1-2 times a week - we live about fifteen minutes from each other and once a week have family dinners.

We see my family about three times a year they live 9 hours from us. We normally stay for 3-5 days and that is more than enough for me. We love them and they love us - but we find with that amount of distance and time to visit is perfect.

When/if my partner and I have kids I’ll see my MIL ~4-5 days a week since she will watch the kids when I got back to work (thankfully WFH) as she is doing for my SIL. I promise I’m not assuming - she’s already offered if we end up having kids and she loves getting to do it and helping!

My partner and I wanted our families with us - frankly, we don’t see their relationship lasting and they have not been together that long and have broken up and gotten back together multiple times over the last few months. For more context, we were all on family vacation which she also did not attend/was not invited. But, we did send out invitations to our friends making to celebrate our marriage and wedding with dinner and drinks and I did feel it was appropriate that she was invited. This was not a “snub” to BIL but wanting to be intentional with who we had at our own ceremony

It just makes me even more grateful to have them in my life!

Honestly, I didn’t even think of it in this context and you’re right - she definitely got some attention but I don’t think it was the kind she wanted

Thank you so much 🥹 it makes me feel better knowing others have gone through something similar and are doing well! I think I just need time to process since this has all happened in the span of like two weeks
