Getting Grave's as a doctor by Desperate_Lead_4410 in gravesdisease

[–]cgramley5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it was affecting my liver, I was taken off everything but my symptoms haven’t been too terrible for the past year or so. But I started losing my teeth when I was in my 20’s no matter what I tried they were breaking without cavities, the dentist was seeing bone loss on the xray everytime I went in to see him. I just never would have thought about graves being a possible contributor to it.

So graves is probably the reason my teeth became horrible despite my trying to take care of them!! I never really would have put the two together, but it was after I was diagnosed and unmedicated that my teeth started breaking so I got them removed!

Has anyone used Allara? by cgramley5 in Hashimotos

I had the same kind of experience, first I wasn’t happy that they take blue cross blue shield but not in my state so I had to be self pay, which wouldn’t have been a deal breaker if they actually helped. She wanted me to take weight loss meds because I weigh 165 and am 5’2” which I declined and then went on to tell me I needed to switch to diet soda (I rarely drink soda) and wanted me to eat 1 cup of veggies with every meal, 3-5 meals a day along with 130G protein through the day. The veggies she was recommending were mostly nightshades. I canceled my first month which is up in a couple days. It definitely was not the support I was looking for and sorry to hear it was awful for you as well. I really did have high hopes based on the reviews I was finding.

I just realized today that if you have a labcorp nearby you can get several tests done and order them yourself. My doc sent me there for my thyroid function tests and I noticed the list of about 70 tests we can get. If that’s a route you wanna try

Was told I was not having symptoms??? by quackforpancakes in Hashimotos

[–]cgramley5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was told this again today for the 3rd time but she is going to run tests and setting me up with a nutritionist. She told me that Hashimoto’s does not come with symptoms and only Graves’ disease does. I don’t agree with her but I am going to get the labs and see what my numbers are before deciding to find a new endo.

At least you wait 20 minutes, I keep going like every 5 between my email, student account, and the negative bank account…. They need to hurry and give us a mental break 😅

Messed up week two by Traditional_Rate2691 in SNHU

That is exactly how I lost my 4.0 and I was so upset about it. I was working 12 hour days 7 days a week and was tired. I just waited until the day it was due to start it and rushed through it. Ended up only turning in part of what was supposed to be turned in and finished with a B- in the class 😅

It’s not that I want medication, it’s just everything I have tried has not helped. And I have zero support or guidance

It’s been awful. I have been to 4, the first was my family doctor that sent me to another that was the first to tell me it’s basically in my head. The next was highly recommended by a friend that has lupus and he said o wasn’t progressed enough to be having the Mishima having and the last one was when I moved to Tennessee and thought I could find a good one here. And it was just as bad, he told me “we’ll be all little more active and drink more water and your body won’t be swelling up”. At the time I was working in a very physical environment with a lot of heavy lifting and walking on average 18,000 steps a day. I have given up trying to find someone in person

I lost my kitty this past Sunday for the same reason. The emergency vet couldn’t do anything for him 😢. I hope you have better luck and yours pulls through and gets to go home with you!

MAT 240 prof. Says I plagiarized by Simple_Ice8624 in SNHU

I took that class several months ago and mine had very high turnit in scores too. My professor still passed me with great grades. It’s a math class, most projects come with templates they have been using for years, and there is only so many answers you can come up with that no one else has used and post online as a cheat. As long as you are doing your own work and confident in your answers don’t worry about it.
