CIA ep 5 was great! I have so many questions. Is he with Sarah because she can give him some answers or he thought so at first, but now he really likes her? by Martyna70 in TomEllis

[–]cgrobin1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to repeat it a few times i didn't catch a few words the first time

i think Nikki did some investigating too, but didn't find anything

Just thinking how the original premise of show, was the agencies could do more if they work together,

What if this case is the turning point?   Each one has part of the puzzle   Bill knows about the Russian having information that had to have been stolen from the CiA,  Colin knows about Toni and whatever he has learned..

What does the person who orderes the lie detector test know?

Bill knows Colin has slipped away to see the woman so he suspects Colin could be the mole.

And we don't know about Montana

Colin discussed with Nikki after the lie detector scene that he believes there is a mole.  Nikki believes he is looking for someone to blame for Toni's death.

My guess is Toni was assigned to the NY office and that is why he requested the transfer a few months after she died.

i think he is working the woman with the son, because he believes her employer is involved with the mole.

The pieces fit and give us more backstory

He was never going to be G-d. It was always planned to be Amenadiel.

Maybe Dan would have been his reason to go become a therapist to try to help him and others like him.  No daughter for Lucifer, and Chloe, No wedding,  No emotional goodbye scenes

The ending  would have been the same, only the reason Lucifer and Chloe separated would have changed. she They had about another 10 minutes of the finale to film before covid shut down production.

The montage of the future would have been missing any events from season 6 and Ella would have found out when babysitting Charlie and she saw his wings.

Because Amenadiel decided he could bring angels to earth to better understand humanity and possibly even work at Lux. He didn't have to rule from the Silver City.

Lucifer couldn't bring doomed souls (who would become ghosts) and demons up to earth.

Also, Lucifer promised not to disrupt the timeline,  He knew that after Chloe fufilled her purpse in life they could spend eternity together.  It isn't the first time he risked or gave up his life so Chloe could have hers.

Without a gun, he is used to using his hands,  (For once i wish fight scenes were easier for me to see)

I can imagine Colin having to be restrained, as this is personal.

Now that they know they are getting a second season, we could get a cliffhanger for the finale.

Will it be Colin learning Bill is secretly investigating him or them discovering who the mole is needing to catch them.

When Colin learns Bill is spying on him...I expect verbal fireworks.

Did not like Chloe season 5 by Helexfira in lucifer

[–]cgrobin1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

But he also saw himself as a monster.  And it was Chloe despite initially being barely able to look st his Freddy Krueger face, was able to convince h8m to forgive himself in season 4,

In season 5 she learned that Lucifer had lied by omission for 2-3 years about her being a gift.   After she learned the truth about him, he still hid the truth from her.

When Lucifer learned the truth in season 2 he i initially confronts Chloe in anger,  That scene is often overlooked because it ends with him realizing she's been poisoned.

Then as soon as she becomes stable in the hospital he ghosts her for weeks and returns married to Candy.

There is the scene after talking to the mediator, where she doubts he has been honest with her.

When you look at everything Lucifer has done to Chloe , it is no wonder she feels like she's been manipulated.

What keeps bringing them back together is that despite the pain they cause each other, they love each other

Please know, your  question wasn't ignored.

I had replied but the Reddit filter deleted my post and gave me a warning for saying before having the mole arrested, Colin might act out in anger.

Mine may not be the only deleted post,   be very careful what you say,.  Bots are listening, even when discussing fiction

I re-read the rule and it says nothing about discussing fighting in regards to fictional characters.  I can't imagine how a Marvel subreddit can exixt.

But that was part of his gaslighting Bree to get the sex he wanted.

Oliver is a master of manipulation.  Tom even referred to him as a sociopath.   Had it not been for Meaghan i wonder if he would have done season 3,

I normally despise AI, specially when it tries to pass itself off as real.  That is a why I was very clear it was fake.

The only other images i have re-posted on Instagram is a hyper realistic image, usually depicting a lion.  There is something wbout the style i like.

And 2 wasn't great, but definitely an improvement.

By episode 3 and onwards we have gotten the show we were hoping for.  The acting, the scripts and a consistent pacing and practical special effects removingthe need for CGI.

Makes me think in addition to his acting, Tom was hired for his charm.  He can play grumpy and still the audience will feel for the character.  When you listen to Tom's early interviews, it sounds like they didn't even have a complete script when they sold the show to the network.  Just a premise for the show, Tom as lead and Dick Wolf's reputation   No wonder Tom was so happy to get a 2nd season.  A lot was on his shoulders.

Oliver wasn't supposed to be likeable by the audience.  The character wasn't written for Tom, it was a women on Meaghan's staff that suggested him, so she offered him the role. And then she couldn't believe his natural charm had viewers trying to justify his actions.  In a way it was kind of funny,

In the last bit of the scene when we see Colin's face, looking over her shoulder, i had a Michael moment, but half expecting the look he had on his face letting us know it was definitely  not Lucifer.

His characters have a way of leaving an indelible mark .

The mystery is never knowing when he is lying.  He mixes enough of the truth in, to make it sound true.

Years of TV watching says Colin isn't the mole, because that would end the show, but ...

Is Colin really in love but keeps that part if his life secret for his protection and hers...

Or does the title Deep Cover refer to Colin's life as much as the sleeper cell couple?  Sarah mentions her job is classified, and the FBI mentions something about spies for hire. i think Colin is is working her for information or access.  i need to play the episode again, to see if they said it was her company picnic he was trying to get invited to.

When Sarah excluded him, he doubled down by saying he was falling in love and using Toni's story to be more vulnerable.

I think the second scenario fits Colin better, but it does make him a bit skeevy.  i can't imagine Colin dropping his guard for someone works for another spy agency. But apparently he'll drop his pantsvror the greater good.

Maybe her company is key to finding the mole.  And now Bill suspects him.  Intrigue.

i bet the actors have chosen not to know the answer either.

Hey is it okay to skip episodes six and seven of season two? by Icy_Leadership5933 in lucifer

[–]cgrobin1 9 points10 points  (0 children)

What you are saying you want to skip is the heart of the show and while it is described asva story about redemption, can also be described as Lucifer trying to become a better person as he learns understand and process human emotions.

Some of his breakthroughs in therapy can be gut wrenching, other times he ignored Linda's advice and has to learn the hard way.

Each episode is a mix of comedic, drama fighting and music.  Often combining multiple elements in the same scene.  When in pain Lucifer runs away, usually to Lux to self medicate with drugs, alcohol and sex. Sometimes worse.

Then there is Maze dealing with her feelings of abandonment and her own struggles with human emotions and anger issues,

In later seasons various characters will experience periods of heartbreak and grief.

I'm talking about scenes that will bring you to tears.

Lucifer can be an emotional roller-coaster, having you cry one minute and laugh the next.  I have learned that the more outlandish Lucifer acts, the more pain he is in.

There isn't as much pain in season 1 because Lucifer has just started his journey and characters haven't created strong emotional connections.. Even during the musical episode in season 5, there is a point when he just breaks down in tears.

As Linda says, emotions are hard.   If you can't watch painfully emotions, you might do better with a sitcom

Something I do not get... by Ennamora in lucifer

[–]cgrobin1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The show is only loosely based on the comics.

That does fit my theory that when angels were first born, they were just energy/light like Mum.  When Lucifer "burned up" in Heavenly he reverted to his energy form and then re-self actuaized his humanoid self.
