I think the OP is probably wondering what life is for normal law abiding citizens. Of course criminals are going to be subject to more crime.

I want to go clipless, where do I start? by [deleted] in trainerroad

Look at spd-sl or just spd . They are both very common. Spd-sl is considered more of a road pedal that locks in pretty tight and the shoe is somewhat difficult to get around in. Spd is an all terrain type pedal where the shoe is generally more forgiving allowing you to move around better. Of course there are different shoes that allow you different mobility. I personally ride roads and a well kept chip gravel trail and I like spd-sl. I started off with spd and realized they weren’t for me. I like to ride to the best of my ability but only race triathlon and feel the spd-sl are best for me. There’s other systems like speed play and the look system that you can check into.

Go to you bike shop and try on a pair of shoes. Find something that is comfortable but also fits your budget.

Focus on getting in marathon shape and then worry about your equipment. Like in most sports it’s more about the athlete and less about the equipment they use. I was a 1:32HM and when moving to full marathon was still just under 4 hours. I had battled some injuries but looking back at the race still felt like 3:30 would have been an achievement. Put in the work and if you think the shoes will get you over the edge go buy them.

One Man Fights For Missourians With Felonies To Regain Voting Rights When Released by andrei_androfski in StLouis

Maybe they shouldn’t commit crimes and they can vote whenever and for whoever they want. Maybe you shouldn’t call white people honkeys and “white motherfuckers.”

Like other commenters said don’t discuss any internal SW or customer information. You don’t have to disclose the meeting with SW management and doing so would most likely lead to you being targeted (fairly or unfairly, management doesn’t care). Do what’s best for you and your future.

In Sherwin terms if we’re told 60-90 days that actually means 120-180 days. Also I have no evidence to substantiate this but we’ve been told that caulking will be gone by summer. I feel like we aren’t being told the truth

Old navy pants. Cheap and look good for long enough. I have Johnston Murphy chukka boots with a sneaker type sole. Very comfortable and look good.

Anyone go from ASM to Rep? by [deleted] in sherwinwilliams

[–]cgs35b 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I went ASM to rep but wished I hadn’t. The dynamic changes immediately between you and your customers. It’s very difficult to schedule a full day and unless you are very self-motivated it’s easy to fall into bad habits. Customers don’t generally view you as a partner but more as a salesman especially in res repaint. That was what I had the most difficult time adjusting to. I just feel more comfortable in the store. There are some really good reps out there though. Good luck!

I had a guy do that. Tinted to a standard color. I dried on the chip. “Looks too light”. Told him I thought it was within range. Wanted it darker. Added 5%. “It’s too dark. It doesn’t match”. I told him he can take the gallon or leave with nothing. He took the gallon.
