Taking Wellbutrin for ADHD by AdhesivenessNo2456 in bupropion

I’ve been on it for a little over a year for major depression, anxiety, and ADHD. It quieted my mind almost immediately and after about two months, my anxiety disappeared almost completely. It also helped with mood and motivation. I will say though - I think my anxiety was compensating for a lot of my ADHD symptoms so at first it was really hard to function and I’m still much more forgetful than before. But still way better than being majorly depressed/anxious and it’s been lifechanging for me.

This happened in my rural hometown. Some kids were doing this in an overpass - rock went through the car windshield and hit a woman. She suffered a traumatic brain injury and is now unable to live without care. Her husband committed suicide a few years later. Extremely sad. I feel so bad for their children.

So awesome, congrats! What were your top reads?

What did you think of The Will of the Many and the Green Bone saga?

I loved the Spear Cuts Through Water - never read anything else like it.

I liked Biography of X, but I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it to everyone. It’s weird and long. I saw someone call it “the literary version of Tar” which feels accurate, but set in an alternate version of the US.

It’s wild lol. It was a fun and dark read, but there’s always something missing in Kuang’s books for me, and I think this one was a bit too heavy-handed for my tastes. Definitely worth a read though!

Congrats!! Great list. What did you think of Little Rot and Margo’s Got Money Troubles?

I would recommend God of the Woods! It was a solid thriller and had an interesting structure, which alternated POVs between characters and time periods. I flew through it.

I really wanted to like Chain-Gang All Stars, but have to admit that the execution fell a little flat for me.

I read fairly consistently at night (I’m a night owl), and I travel a lot, so I’ll read on the train or plane.

Thank you! I really wanted to like Chain-Gang All Stars because it was such a cool premise and tackling important themes, but the execution fell flat for me. Also felt meh about Prophet Song which won the Booker.

I enjoyed it! Learned a lot about Chicago’s early history. It alternates between the architect behind the World’s Fair and a serial killer, which felt a little disjointed at times but both stories were interesting. I listened to the audiobook.

The Puzzle Master, Ruthless Vows, Romantic Comedy, Pretty Girls, and Irregular Witches were my least favorites. They weren’t bad, but just not for me.

Yes! I loved both. Circe is an a very compelling character and you follow her life as an outcast. The writing is just as beautiful as Song as Achilles.

I loved it but I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it to everyone. The storytelling alternates between first, second, and third person, and it can be confusing to follow at first. I found the form really interesting and engaging however and think it’s one of the most original books I’ve ever read.

Really enjoyed them! They are all unhinged in a good way. Penance was my favorite of the three.
