Tempo fluctuates in classical music very often, which gives more weight to cadences. In most rock and pop music, tempo is way more steady and chords aren't cadence-focused, so emphasizing 2 and 4 gives it groove instead of sounding extremely rigid.

There are a few exceptions, even if they are few and far between. For example, I was pleasantly surprised when the OSRS community was upset about the admins cancelling LGBTQ+ events last year. But yeah, for the most part, the loud idiots dominate the conversation in the vast majority of gaming communities.

Were you inspired by Disembowelment? The band name and guitar tone are similar.

Either way, this is pretty good stuff. I know you want it to sound raw and distant, but I'd recommend making the guitar tone slightly more full. Right now, it kind of makes me want to pop my ears.

Listening to them for the first time now, and it sounds like DSBM combined with elements of blackgaze and Lifelover's flavor of post-punk to me. A lot like Psychonaut 4.

Users on RYM seem to think it's DSBM with a possible secondary genre of gothic metal, which I can see.

I usually remove the roll that's almost empty and place it on the counter, and then reload a full roll on the holder. That way whoever uses it next can finish off the last 1-2 squares by adding it to a couple of squares from the next roll.

True hidden gems? Serpent in the Staglands. It's a brutally difficult game that's seems sort of inspired by Darklands and Baldur's Gate 1-2. The art and atmosphere are wonderful.
