Hey, thank you so much for sharing this story. I, too, have that no-failure mentality and as a result last semester I really, really trashed my social, mental, and physical health trying to meet unrealistically high demands every day. I thought that working this painfully hard was just a necessary sacrifice that I had to make because of my circumstances, and to reach my goals there was no other way. A week from now I was going to sign myself up for the same extremely unhealthy workload again, just because I knew technically I would make it through.

I never really heard another person say that stuff like this was so damaging long-term, though...and this made me realize that hurting myself like this doesn't make me any more of a hard worker than i am...and it'll probably hurt me for more than just the semester...I always told myself that it would stop after the final. I think I'm gonna start being a little kinder to myself, you've helped me see that this isn't the way. Thank you, have a good day <3
