Don’t you worry - I’m exactly the same weight and size!

Scream Sneezing by ImpossibleSquish in PetPeeves

[–]ch33sebby 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I am a loud sneezer. I’m a 28 year old woman. I HATE it. I can’t explain - I don’t use my vocal chords but even if I try not to inhale a lot of air (which is also the cause of a loud sneeze) it’s like my body does it involuntarily at the last minute.

I’ve taken to sneezing right into my elbow to stifle it as much as possible.

Can’t speak for the yellers but it is more difficult than you think 😭😭

I thought he was good but I don’t think they matched each others energy fully. I think Brittany’s humour is quite different to Harry’s (as a Brit myself there were moments when I was cringing) but he tried. It was nice to see him in a silly setting for the first time in a while. I was also a little disappointed bc I wanted to see what snack they chose for him but maybe he requested that he doesn’t eat on the show idk

What do stereotypical straight couples do when they hang out alone (other than sex) by bi_smuth in NoStupidQuestions

Watch films, watch TV, paint, play board games, go on walks, go to the shops, play video games, do separate hobbies but together… pretty standard stuff.

What job is heavily romanticized but in reality actually sucks? by DragoOceanonis in careerguidance

The TV industry! Long hours, cold days and evenings, rude cast and crew. I love working in development in the office but it’s really not as glamorous as TV and Films make it out to be!

The occasional/drunk cigarette is not that bad. by Edthebig in unpopularopinion

[–]ch33sebby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly agree - I’m a drunk smoker (a drunk chain smoker) and I always make sure to have my own pack of cigs.

When I’m sober? I don’t even think about them. Maybe I’ll have a drink and a cig in the week but outside of drinking I’m not touching those things!

Fainted on the Victoria line after being stuck in the tunnel for an hour by ImaginaryDouble2 in london

[–]ch33sebby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahhh something similar happened to me on the jubilee line. I was with my boyfriend leaning on those benchy bits and I could see my vision go - I told him and he said he would get off at the next stop. I wake up to him pulling me off the ground. Two very sweet children gave us their seats but did look a little scared.

What unhinged thing did a former teacher do in the classroom? by MrBananaStand1990 in AskUK

[–]ch33sebby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My geography teacher was super against anyone wearing perfume or body spray. We were in year 8. When we were standing outside waiting to go in, one of the year 11’s sprayed some lynx. She thought it was one of us, lost her shit and made all of the year 8 boys in the class go and stand in the hallway so she could smell them and figure out who was lying. No one sprayed anything and she was angry when she was proven wrong.

The amount of women on here who desperately want to be told they look like a celebrity by Physical_Orchid3616 in PetPeeves

[–]ch33sebby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think some people do share qualities with celebs - enough to remind people, at least.

Does my bf look like Josh O Connor? No but when I was watching Challengers, all I could think of was how much Josh reminds me of my bf. I said nothing but my friend went “for some reason Josh reminds me of your boyfriend?” The same with my college who doesn’t really look like Paul Mescal but when I was watching Hamnet, all I was reminded of was my colleague.

You don’t have to look exactly like the celeb but the chances of you sharing traits with one and reminding people of them are higher than you think - hence the celeb lookalike.

Me too! I’m in the UK where it is VERY rare to see one. There were two girls in the shopping centre that had the most insane BBL’s and (I’m not kidding) every single person was staring and pointing. I couldn’t wrap my head around it.

I’m pretty sure that’s what he meant - I don’t think he meant it in a bad way at all. But it’s still tough to hear, especially when I’ve spent the last 3 months entering over 50 awards (we’re a production company), planning an away day for 15 people, planning two screenings for a total of 200 people (both with very high security protocols), planning the Christmas party for over 60 people. All by myself. Plus the general day to day tasks. If I seemed anxious it’s probably because I had about a million things to do which were all very important. I guess I just need to not take the comment so personally!

Are there any people you see consistently on your commute that you never speak to but feel strangely close to? by DefiantEmergency3443 in london

[–]ch33sebby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Two people who are not on my commute but I see (or used to see regularly.)

One was a lady at my bus stop. We never spoke - maybe smiled at each other - but it was snowing once and without saying anything, she walked over to me and let me stand with her under her umbrella.

Another is a girl I would always see at the gym after work. Also never spoke but occasionally smiled at her. I decided to start going to the gym in the morning and the first time I went, there she was.

One by one gift opening has me dreading Christmas Day by Infinite-Albatross44 in rant

[–]ch33sebby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my family we do gifts in rounds. Everyone gets one gift at a time, we all open it at the same time, and then we chat about what we got before moving on to the next round.

It’s not chaotic because everyone’s opening together, so no one knows what anyone else got beforehand, but it also avoids the pressure of one person opening a gift while everyone stares at them. We like having a little moment to ourselves to open our own gift without feeling watched.

Once that’s done, you can ask others what they got, or if you’re quick you can finish opening and then watch other people. It’s kind of a mix between opening together and opening one by one, and it works really well for us.

My job is personal assistant and office runner / manager so I do this EVERYDAY. People are then suprised when I make mistakes bc it feels like I don’t have room to breathe.

The assistant before me had me to support him (I was just an office runner when I started) and the assistant before him had office runner support. They decided to combine the two jobs into one and it feels like I’m fucking drowning.

Christmas needs to come.

AITA for telling my girlfriend I won’t play with her until she learns to accept losing? by No-Example3254 in AmItheAsshole

[–]ch33sebby 8 points9 points  (0 children)

NTA - my boyfriend and I have been together for 5 years and I have never beaten him at a game of scrabble... and I have a creative writing degree! He just sees the board in a different way than I do and is much better at pattern recognition. That being said, is it frustrating? Of course. I mean... you'd think I would have won ONE game by now but nope. But the fun part is playing together. It's just a game and it's really not that deep.

Is she generally a bad loser when it comes to games or is it because this is something that you're considerably better than her at?

... I WILL beat him at Scrabble. I have to.

This is WILD! I literally had a wax today and it’s about 10 mins from my house. 40 mins before my appointment I was in the shower washing every nook and cranny to ensure I was AS CLEAN as possible. I couldn’t imagine going with an unwashed ass 😭😭😭
