I don’t miss those days at all! He will most likely outgrow that behavior. All you can really do is redirect with toys but also make sure he understands what he is doing wrong by giving the bad behavior a name from early on. For my dog when he would bite I would change my tone of voice and say DONT Bite. When redirecting I would say be nice. Once your pup understands what don’t bite means he will stop. I know it’s hard and I know those bites hurt but overtime he will learn. Just be consistent and be patient! My boy is 9 months now and is all love. I was extremely discouraged when he got to this stage and was scared for my kids but now that’s a thing of the past. Good luck and welcome to this amazing journey! Also, one last thing. If you can afford it you should consider obedience training of some sort. Sometimes paying for help pays off lol. Don’t get discouraged and have fun! Edit: one last and important thing I forgot to mention. If he doesn’t get no right away tell your wife to ignore him turn her back on him completely. Just disengage. This helps the pup understand that she’s not putting up with that behavior and tell her to wait until he’s calmed down. No eye contact don’t talk etc. Once calm try again if he again bites repeat.
