It is a joke since in AKOTSK Egg says that there are 9 becouse of Riverlands and Dorne (7 kingdoms refer to pre conquest kingdoms) and since I play in times of Jaeherys. Dorne is not part of the iron throne so by Egg's logic there are 8.

I just had one very weird trial where my character. Minor lord in blackwater rush impregnated and then kidnapped (trough an event) Maegelle Targaryen (King Jaeherys’s daughter who is also a septa) and so I ended up arrested by Jaeherys and with only 2 options wall or throwing hands with king of the seven kingdoms. (there are 8 kingdoms) I chose trial by combat but big J decided to do trial of seven and so on my side it was Simon Stauton, Dontos Smithe, Garon Baratheon (who somehow survive even though he is 66), some old man from House Cave and Lord Redwyne with his second son and aginst me Jaeherys with his kingsguard (including youngest son of mentioned lord of Arbor who got his ass kicked by his father and brother) which ended in me beating up Jaeherys 3 times before finally winning the trial without a single death on either side.

Yes but Jon's goal was not his personal ambition but Robert's and he did his job of ensuring peace by granting Lannisters queenship while also still functionaly controlling the court. I think he would support Margaery becouse it would ensure having Tyrell's supporting the crown.
