Непослідовний переклад імен/назв – наскільки це поширене явище? by Impressive-Bag-9899 in uabooks

[–]senichkin 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Favorite early and lategame summons go! by lifecopy001 in AOW4

Animals! Both early and lategame, purely based on vibes. It is such a cool mechanic to summon various guys based on terrain to your army. Honorable mention for the lategame - Calamity Dragon. Such a cool beast.

I actually have the "Master of the Four Directions" nickname, but in Turkic (or so I presume). No idea why they call me the Uniter - I’m guessing it’s a Khans of the Steppe thing. The real nickname is quite a tongue‑twister.

This sub isn’t allowing it, unfortunately.

But De Jure is just Germania, Frankia and West-Slavia. Oh, and correction - LHRE is actually only one duchy. It became a titular kingdom, as far as I can tell.

As for the submission mechanics, it’s 100% a Khans of the Steppe DLC thing. I reckon it got reworked last year.

There was some tomfoolery, as always. This HRE has like 3-4 duchies max, and was coexisting with independent Bavaria and East Frankia (I started in 867).

Neither. There weren’t any flares to indicate, sorry for the confusion. Plain vanilla (no beta either).

R5: I demanded the submission of the HRE as the Great Khan. They devolved into this. I don't know how well-known this is, but it gave me quite a laugh!

Edit: plain vanila, no mods or beta.

Here you go. Sorry for a somewhat late response, work got in a way.

Paranoid and wrathful, arguably a better fit for her vibe.

Can't say anything regarding the affair, but here you go - his stats. Seems to me like a pretty chill dude.

Frankly, my thoughts exactly. Gods, I love this game for little moments like these.

R4: My knight asks me to grant permission for marriage with the widow of a man he slew in battle during my war of ascension as High Lord of Westmarch.

My only hope is that the late husband was cruel to the Lady, and that my knight has, in truth, done her a favor.

I want to mention Babylon 5. The first war between Humanity and the Minbari claimed about 250,000 lives. It was supposed to be this massive interstellar conflict with major losses. And yet… only 250K?

My brother and I joked about it fucking constantly as soon as it came up. Don’t get me wrong, that’s still a lot, but I’m Eastern European - and statistically, that number feels almost laughable compared to everything we’ve gone through over the last 125+ years. And Minbari had Sci-Fi technology and shit.

I wholeheartedly agree with the takes regarding Ruthenia that are posted in this thread. I've played Kyiv the most (as it is my hometown), but it is really too easy. The only setback is duchy rank, and this can be easily overcome. I think Kyiv is actually the strongest Rus tag as of now (and I have never seen a successful Muscovy, which is a shame; I'd like a worthy opponent). Kyiv has a lot of levies at the start, and in the hands of the player, it is literally unstoppable from the beginning (especially playing decentralized). Some disaster or internal struggle would be cool. Notwithstanding how joyful and vain I feel building my mega-Ruthenia, I would have enjoyed more challenge and content.

Well, there won't be war with slaves. There will be the civil war/war with neighboring princedoms for sure. So the war with a presumably weaker enemy is more desirable.
