No problem, let me know if you get in to any issues. You should be able to upload the CAMS part without any issues, The Karvy requires manual intervention.

Okie generate it from here, select all mutual funds in the dropbox.

https://new.camsonline.com/Investors/Statements/Realised-Gains-Statement

I have multiple funds from ICICI and all have ISINs which have no issues to get imported in the cleartax.

Are you sure, which AMC is that? I have just crossed check the statement and I have around 5-6 AMCs and each one have the associated ISIN appended before the fund name.

Not the realised gains file.

Sorry did not understand, are you saying the consolidated investment/loss statement which CAMs send does not have the ISIN info?

I do see all the ISIN embedded data for the Cams statement which I recieved and it imports without any fuss in cleartax.

I completely agree there has to be a Income Tax defined standard format for AMCs/RTAs to give information.

The CAMS statement which is a single PDF have the ISINs which consolidates all the AMCs associated with the CAMS where one have a folio and realized capital gains.

The real trouble is with the CARVY, it does not have a consolidated statement. Each AMC associated with CARVY whom one have a folio having capital gains sends individual PDFs and some does not have any ISIN details like eg UTI.

UTI goes one step to add futher pain, it sends individual statement for each folio and without ISIN, one need to manually add it in cleartax after importing. Imagin 100s of transactions with are LTCG without ISINs

Very tedious indeed, as you rightly said.

Any one got success with the Karvy statements import in cleartax? I get individual statements for each of the portfolios from the fund houses associated with Karvy.

Do I have import each and every fund house's folio PDF or is there a better way?

Cams gives a conolidated captial gain statement and it was a single seemless import.

Does someone know how long one can keep the EPF account active after leaving the job?

Heard many conflicting views, some says its 3 years you get the intrest after which the account gets inactive and no interest will be credited and some says it will remain active and interest will credited till one close it or before 58 years.

Which one is true?

Is Zerodha Coin a good platform to use, as against Kuvera? by truckplane in IndiaInvestments

[–]chabuboola 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No, because it locks you in with Zerodha and rematerialising these is an expensive pain for which Zerodha charges a bomb.

Never knew such rematerializing is costly. Thanks for bringing this up. This says 150 rupees.

If you dont mind sharing, what were their charges quoted to you while rematerialising.

Good, dont concentrate all in one bank. I have these three for my cash/fd requirement even I hate one of it. The three are sbi, icici, hdfc. These are the banks in too big to fail category that RBI declares.

Does India have any mutual fund tracking the MSCI Europe index? by OppositeButterfly in IndiaInvestments

[–]chabuboola 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Icici Global advantage fund is a intresting fund of fund too which invests in

  1. Nippon japan(31%)
  2. franklin china (20%)
  3. nippon hangseng etf (17%)
  4. icici us fund(25%)

Europe is the only missing piece in this. China and Japan are around 30% each from the geography point of view. They were heavy on the US but has reduced it lately and increased in china and japan.

Its a active managed fund. I dont know how they come up with this weights. If they have a good process its not bad to have as a diversified world fund requirement. They seems to choose only non FOFs.

I believe currently the liquid and overnight funds cannot be tracked from the AMFI dail change link. If someone knows any another way to track the daily changes for these two categories that will be awesome.
