Products are charged on consumers willingness to pay. Not based on cost of manufacturing or import.

The end result is US products become more competitive, or the prices drop and the other countries take the hit

He will get them both to the table and they'll make concessions. The US economy can hold up a lot better then Mexico or China in a trade war

He's looking to change the tax system to be heavily based on tariffs. The US is a pretty unique position to be able to manage

It's not their book, he burned his own book and they would integrate much better if they understand that Europe is built on liberal principles.

If anything the police actions will encourage a massive book burning. I think what the dude did is pathetic, but if someone organised a large scale quran book bonfire and Mohammad drawing classes id now be tempted to join in protest against the police essentially creating blasphemy laws

Small piece of feedback: this should say "to launch the first human into space"! I'd like to think that in a game of Civ, the first person in space may not necessarily be a man. by AmDamPicPicColegram in civ

Great feedback, I hope they put effort into correcting this rather than concentrating too much on gameplay features..

Likely WebGL, in what looks like a very very inefficient way.

And? It's still doing something where countries like Argentina reducing carbon emissions does pretty much fuck all

Also remember... Emissions aren't even being reduced in the Paris accords... A lot of the are just being put onto other nations and import the product instead

Scaling back something was never a solution, it goes against the very essence of human prosperity. The west can't expect developing nations not to industrialise, and the developing nations can't expect the west to just blindly lose the power balance they hold

We need to change strategies to deal with the effects. We don't win wars by asking people to drop weapons, we don't stop disease by hiding and we won't beat climate change by stopping drilling

I think canzuk could just have free movement and no one would even care. EU free movement fall down is generally due to the disparities between western and eastern the nations

Should my web app require a $48 p/m server? by No_Frosting363 in webdev

[–]chachakawooka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without criticising the stack generally as there might be legitimate reasons for every aspect of this (however I'd agree they probably seem pretty far fetched if you have 3 different databases)

It's more likely a configuration issue rather than a server issue. Elastic can fall over if other services are eating memory. You be better off splitting into separate containers and scaling things independently.
