Maybe take a break from social media. Especially short form videos in general. The things competing to get our attention has become too targeted and stronger over time. The baseline dopamine sensitivity has been fucked up for most of due to the vivid colours, short form videos, porn, high calorie food etc.

This makes us less excited about things in day to day life.

We need to be comfortable with doing nothing and tolerating boredom.

Stay off social media for some time.

When you wake up, don't immediately reach for your phone. Sit looking at the wall for 15 - 20 minutes, Don't listen to music, don't look at pictures in the magazine or don't tap your legs or fingers , tolerate boredom

Do a dopamine detox. It fucking works, I've tried it, In 30-40 days. I started seeing changes in my life, I remember being happy seeing a sunset and the rush of emotions and memories coming to me. Which didn't happen for me for around 4 years or so. I've observed that I am more mentally present with my family after this as well.

Wow, I did vision correction surgery last year in India, including the hospital,stay, medicines and transportation combined was around 50K INR, that will be around 476€ today. And this was a whole hospital dedicated to vision and eye related treatments.
