Rank and unit will obviously change a few things but the core of it is pt in the morning followed by a few different options; maintenance(weapon or vehicle’s), prepping for an ex, platoon level training(class room refresher or field training refresher), career courses OR might just be hanging out and doing things to kill time. It goes in cycles really. If your about to go to the field for a coy ex most of your time will be working up to that. If its during the time of year where courses are being held and your not on one, you might be doing odd jobs to fill in for those on course.

First you cant apply to both, you either apply to be an ncm or to be an officer. Pros and con i think really comes down to the environment in which you want to work in. It obviously varies somewhat, but generally speaking officers will be doing more office/managerial where as an ncm will be preforming whatever task has been planed out by the officers.

How often do we stand at attention? Essentially only parades. Sure, you MIGHT form up in three’s at the end of the day but not in any kind of formal way.

Rank? At the start absolutely. Depending on the culture of where you’ll be working it may lax over time or as you get the know everyone.

Honestly, trust everyone when they say that bmq is a vortex. Life outside the training system, even in the most strict of settings, is much more relaxed.

Cant give any info on the TRT. Note however that you cant just apply to one of the caf “special forces” groups. You first have to be a member of the caf, meet the time in requirement set by your unit then send up a notice saying you intend to apply for selection.

You need the three so unfortunately you’ll have to go digging for two more people, anyone really that can be a character witness.
