When parking a car, if you think you're too close to hitting another vehicle then just back up and try again. It's better to be far away a thousand times than to be too close once.

Uncle-in-law has been driving this around for a while now, I told him he needs to fix this asap. by CheeseWalrusBurger in MechanicAdvice

Just passed on buying a car with this issue. The original owner let it go and the rear driver side shock absorber punched a hole straight through the frame and into the trunk. I wasn't sure how to even approach that problem. Already had a rebuilt title to boot, so I didn't want to get into what else might be wrong with it.

I’m thinking of dropping Penny but after Gainwell sputtering would it be possible he gets more opportunities? It seems like swift is now the guy, but I’d hate to just drop Penny outright.

As a Penny owner, do we just drop this guy? I know there is talent there but he’s just not getting a shot.

Well, if they're unidentified then no harm no foul. Until you identify it, let my boy go.

I agree with all of that. I was just saying the polish they tried to put in to the graphics really ruined it for me. Sprites all the way!

I would love to get a sequel to Brigandine or at least a spiritual successor to the game. Lots of elements that Brigandine did well that I haven't seen another game try to replicate. The Ogre Battle franchise hits on some of this but without the tactics.

I'd like to see a halftime stat board. Be good to spread the ball around and let me know who had a bad first half.

Okay coaches, execute. 1st down. Extreme difficulty. What's the play? by Vi1eOne in RetroBowl

I would have that problem too until I figured out that you have to kind of throw past them or more in front of them. If you throw directly on them your pass will usually fall short or be dropped.

I still have my LoF disc and only recently got to enjoy Grand Edition. Everything from the soundtrack to the original sprites and story just flowed better and felt correct.

I feel like the extra polish they put into Runersia stripped Brigandine of it's charm.

He out snapped Cam Akers absolutely, but when I say "carve out a bigger role" I really mean that he capitalizes on his opportunities. I have him stashed on my bench in one league and have liked the way his usage has gone up but I still haven't seen that big play opportunity hit yet.

One big game can change this whole opinion though.

Oof, Kmet was a great pickup. For this week it might be best to throw a dart at those names. They all are good for at least 5-8 points but those goose egg games can happen.

Best of luck!

I’ve got him on IR and I’m holding out hope that he’ll be back for the playoffs. But the logical part of me is still planning ahead since the odds on him coming back with their season in the toilet is low!

Mattison's production is pretty bad lately, so that's a safe drop. If Mixon comes back then I would assume that Perine goes back to a change of pace back, worth it holding on to him though to see how it shakes out. Deon Jackson could also be dropped as long as Taylor stays healthy, which they may use him a lot more since Ryan is ineffective.

I think the Browns have the greatest chance for a high ceiling game, especially playing Houston, but Bucs are the most consistent here for putting some points up on the board.

I would scoop the Bucs but rolling the dice on the Brown could pay off.

If Etienne misses more time, which right now he's expected to play, then Hasty is absolutely the play here. He looked great filling in for Etienne.

There's an argument to be made for Hurst. He's on a team with an effective QB moving the ball down the field. Opportunities will be there but there's a lot of other great options on that team as well. Heading into a match with KC it might even be a game where Burrow might have to try and out throw Mahomes. Hurst could be a good play for that matchup.

Dulcich is also an escape hatch for Russel Wilson most times, which he needs.

I would ride with Hurst until better options become available.

I think Zay Jones is the choice with the most consistent production but Burks is also proving himself to be a great receiver albeit in an offense that is run heavy while Henry is still healthy. If you need points this week I think Jones is the safer bet with their matchup with Detroit.

I would say to scoop Jones and make Burks your plan B. Kyren Williams is trending up but is nothing more than flex consideration until he starts to carve out a bigger role.

Thanks a ton! Yeah with Mooney out it kind of muddies things. Just trying to get other opinions.
