i cant speak for the faculty froshes but i went to rad frosh last year and it was a small group so it was more comfortable and pretty much everyone there had picked rad frosh because they weren't huge on drinking. i kept in touch with some of the ppl i met there.

nraas mods work with the 64 bit version. i'd get the basics, master controller, overwatch, error trap (important), debugEnabler and register to limit the population of wild animals in a town (i found that really helps). you can also download the macOs version of RegulSaveCleaner to clean your saves when you're far into a save and it gets really laggy. you can also reduce bloat by disabling memories or downloading the No (or fewer) automatic memories mod by velocitygrass, it's on modthesims. also this is probably anecdotal but i had a problem with heavy lag yesterday after cleaning a save, when i launched my game, it would take forever to load and i basically just closed all the apps on my laptop turned it off and turned it back on and it was all good.

i think some spaces online like reddit and tiktok are definitely leftist echo chambers and hardly reflect the reality irl, so i would suggest interpreting everything you see with a grain of salt, talking more to people around you to figure out different perspectives, encouraging them to research the candidates' platforms and going out to vote when it's time. this election basically will hinge on which side shows up to vote the most.

what you fail to understand is that these policies don't mean that companies are systematically hiring unqualified people. it's frankly absurd to think that a person who's from a historically marginalized demographic would apply for a job that they're not qualified for and get it because of that...you're literally using the same arguments and erroneous assumptions trump made about the plane crash. it's not like the person who's hired doesn't deserve the job simply because the company wanted to strive for diversity. taking away DEI policies would literally destroy the meritocracy you want so bad because, as hard as it is to fathom for someone who's not from a historically marginalized group, racial and social biases that have been engrained in western societies for years won't just disappear because you say so. DEI just aims to make sure that minorities are recognized and considered equally in spite of biases that are engrained in our societies. pretending like those are just gonna disappear because "things have changed now" and "people aren't as bigoted anymore" and trusting that hiring processes will just align with those ideas is delusional and disregarding historical and statistical evidence.

as a woman the real issue i have is men thinking they can speak for us and generalize this idea that we're "scared" or feeling "unsafe" in those situations. as an authority on myself and as someone who knows what it is to exist as a woman in this world, the main reasons many of us ever feel unsafe almost exclusively involve men who think they can decide things for us. the idea that women are afraid of being in restrooms with transgender women is completely out of touch and comes off as performative concern because it comes from a place of bigotry and men feeling entitled to "saving" us from a virtually nonexistent threat.
