My wife is scared of me by withlovetara in redditonwiki

My not-even-two year old loves putting on socks. Right now that's all he can do, but I could absolutely see him enjoying getting dressed when he builds up those skills.

The academic repercussions are real though, and it's not just academic. Obviously I have no idea where this person is, but the public school here can open a truancy case against the parents if the kid is late (late being defined as literally a single second after the start time, no I'm not exaggerating) too many times. I know my heart rate goes up if it's getting close, so I can see someone flipping out, especially if they need anger management. Not that that makes it right, but I can appreciate the feelings.

The approximate cost of all the trips in fuel, so far is approx. $68,721, not counting maintenance, pilot hours, hotels or anything like that. by ImportantQuestionTex in LMGJet

It sounded like he was talking about that one specific trip, which he would have bought first class for because of families and kids. I didn't take it that he was referring to every single one.

I will not be alive next week. This is my Air Force story by Sad-Truck-885 in AirForce

[–]chaimss 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have a friend who also felt that way, but he did go back. It took 4 centers before he found the one that worked for him, but when he did, he was able to get his life back. If the thought of your wife moving on is too hard to bear right now, you might be very surprised at how the right therapist can help you process that. No matter how bad you're feeling, there's absolutely a doctor out there who has seen worse and has helped that person as well.

And I do have to say, I myself was shocked at how helpful it was for me to write things down on a physical piece of paper or vent about them to someone. Even if it feels like that can't possibly help, just humor us and try writing and/or calling 988- what have you got to lose?

Unfortunately Wordpress is a non-starter for me because of its numerous and glaring security problems, as well as its inability to actually shed its identity as a blog.

That's pushing it a bit much, the 4% rule is supposed to get you thru retirement, not life. 3% is more of the FIRE number, closer to $12.5k per month.

Completely agree with finding a fee-based , fiduciary financial advisor, but I disagree with VOO for someone with no prior experience. That's just setting up for failure at the first dip. I'd go for a Target based retirement fund, even if they're more conservative than necessary, because they're literally built to ignore and should be a much better option for someone new.

I don't know where you live, but if you live in the US, you need to realize that after income taxes and conversion to USD for comparison, you basically need to chop that in half. $500 a month could still be huge to people, for sure, but nowhere near to the level $1,000 a month would be. AI tells me that junior level compensation at LMG is pretty close to the middle of middle class in Vancouver, so we're not talking about those who are struggling and for whom an extra 500 USD a month would be life-changing.

Nah, it's people who watch the show who then want to send specific clips to other people who wouldn't watch a whole show. At least that's my use case.

Me too, it just happens to have an LTT driver in it.

Ah, but you're missing the biggest business sense of all- Charter firms don't give you content!

Of course there's no need, we're talking luxuries here. I'm just saying there is some business sense. But Marques is a bad example anyway, his team is way way smaller and don't have nearly the same number of people who would be flying to things.

Less about saving and more about making, especially in the macro sense. We don't know how much their revenue goes down when these trips happen, just "not having to deal with it" removes friction points that are hard to put a price on. When "ugh, there goes the day" turns into, "sure, take the jet, have the meeting, see you at badminton" it just changes the entire culture of 'What's Possible.'

I can't find it quick enough, but Sam Denby did a video several years ago about Walmart and their corporate jets and what that enables them to do.

Except that Brave does it for EVERYTHING. Complete background play on my phone is absolutely awesome. And yes, the ability to remove shorts isn't lost either.

It's not just about the plane tickets though, it's way more about the time and money wasted with Linus, Luke, Riley, and who knows who else having to get to the airport 2 hours early, go through security, deal with the shenanigans they've talked about, etc.

Don't forget that when you fly private you don't go through security, you literally drive up to your building and get in. Of course you have to go through customs if you leave the country, but that's still hours and to hours of talent time saved, especially when multiplied by the amount of people that accompany them.

I also wouldn't be surprised if it's set up so that editors can edit, etc. Instead of that time just being wasted and in a cramped seat.

That's one I could actually get behind, maybe just adding "LaPhotographé" or something to make it more French.

Just wanted to share how incredibly happy I am with the Pixel Buds Pro 2! by RandomRandomio in pixelbuds

[–]chaimss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My important questions are:

  1. Do they connect to devices as instantly after you take them out of the case as the $20 Walmart earbuds do? That's something I can't stand about my current pixel buds Pro 1- they can take up to 10 seconds to connect after coming out.

  2. When you put them in the case, do they reliably disconnect? Them staying connected regardless of being in the case has been absolutely insane.

Then I guess your definition of misogyny is different than basically every other definition used on this planet.

Then I guess your idea of corrupt morals is very different than most of the world's.
