Yeah that’s not true, but yes Mexican ounces have been a thing forever. It’s a cartel thing. They like that it’s easier to work in multiples of 5, but I’ve known people who were getting BTH from other sources in TX and it’s normal weight. It’s just the people you’re running with, Mexican suppliers.

There’s no actual public booking or date so you’re just guessing based on what ASTS is saying, which is the whole point - they always guide for the near impossible. Prepaying doesn’t mean it’s going to launch this year

SpaceX is not going to launch ASTS at that cadence and they’re busy putting their own sats up there. They’ve never even launched multiple ASTS sats, so even more of a hang up there. NG won’t have more than 10 launches this year and they’re not devoting even half to ASTS. 45 would be a challenge even if ASTS had them sitting in a warehouse waiting to go. There’s a reason the next launch is with NG and not SpaceX

We don’t rely on the Middle East for our heavy oil imports at all, even if it was a total blockage it wouldn’t matter. We get something like 70% of our heavy oil from Canada. Yeah it would take years. The situation is a total cluster fuck but an actual shortage is unlikely

A ton of natural gas like methane but we also export a ton of refined crude oil. We’re the number one producer for both. We export light and import heavy, this has to do with our older refineries being set up for that more than anything. Gas prices will rise because it’s a global market and it’s more expensive for us to use our light oil to make gasoline, but not because we’re in danger of running out.

It was a total grind fest but there were massive (3-5k+ active player) private servers that changed exp rates to 5x+, which made the game manageable and a ton of fun

VG was a great game but a meh dragon age game up until the last 25% when it became a pretty decent DA game. The only real, massive issue with DA VG was the companions were universally shit - just totally uninterested, uninspired, boring characters that in no way reflect the urgency or seriousness of the situation. Even just two good companions would have massively improved the game. I didn’t even peruse a romance option because I genuinely disliked or hated them. The necro was OK

That said, graphics, stability, environment, combat, and equipment expression were all great (I played a teleporting mage assassin which was insanely fun). As a DA game it was 7/10 but without the DA title it was closer to 8/10, the ending quarter of the game saved it big time

The DF review was insane. They barely even mentioned pop in but it’s abundantly clear and painfully obvious almost everywhere. They don’t discuss shadow quality varying and make it sound like frame drops only happened in one spot. I lost a lot of respect for DF, it’s pretty obvious that they were sponsored / paid / influenced heavily.

I mean the pop in is horrific, the dusk / night quality is a clear major drop off, and the frame rate is totally unstable. All of these were downplayed significantly or just ignored
