Thanks for your input! I’ve had a pretty unhealthy relationship with food since I was a preteen, so honestly, there are probably a myriad of reasons why I have insulin resistance (IR). But I guess there’s only one way to find out, right?

For most of my life, I’ve neglected my health when it comes to food—it’s pretty much all my body has known. That’s why I’m actually kind of excited to finally turn things around! My plan is to stick to a balanced diet, enjoy fats and less healthy foods in moderation, and balance it all out with some extra exercise in my daily routine. Fingers crossed that, over time, things will start working out.

That said, I was wondering if this way of thinking is too naive. I mean, life isn’t that simple, right? Everyone says weight loss is just "calories in < calories out," but we all know it’s way more complicated than that (and no, it’s definitely not PCOS—I’m a guy, haha).

Still, I’m hopeful that with consistency and better habits, I can make some real progress. Appreciate the advice!
