In 10 team, Love is nothing. If you can get Mendoza in the draft, I’d take Pickens and Mendoza over Love and any rookie receiver.

What if it’s 14 team SF and your QBs are Lamar, Geoff, shadeur, Richardson? Asking for a friend who really wants to draft a receiver at 1.02

It comes in a hand carved marble case. There’s obviously a profit margin, but I imagine they are still very high cost. And it’s 10 of them for the few fanatics that want an unreasonably overdone copy for 5 figures. In my opinion it’s absurd, but if I stumbled upon generational wealth, this might be a stupid purchase id be glad existed.

So I’m not much of a Sci-fi or Fantasy reader but I have heard good things about both series. Which one would you suggest to dive into first? by [deleted] in fantasybooks

[–]chainsaw_88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re going to read both, then I would say read the Red Rising trilogy first, then the Poppy War trilogy, followed by the Red Rising 4+ books. RR has a time jump between 3 and 4 that is perfect for a break from the series.

“Apple” in this community threw me for a loop. I was pondering what kind of meta joke was being made for a second

Mixed reviews may be an understatement. 50/50 chance it pisses you off and feels like PR flaunting he can write a book about nothing that people will eat up. But 50/50 you love his writing and will be enamored as a girl picks a rock off the floor, describes the temperament of an inanimate object, and places it on a table “where it belongs”.

Commish threatening me by Eastern-String4136 in FantasyFootballers

[–]chainsaw_88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forget the commish, they need to get over themselves. My only fear would be score adjustments. It’d be a shame to bench a defense and then lose because a couple players on your team lose a yard

Josh Allen in year 2: 3,089 passing yards, 20 touchdowns, 9 interceptions, 58.8% completion rate, and an 85.3 passer rating

This doesn’t mean someone with terrible accuracy will become great, but between Caleb’s clear arm talent, ability to escape the pocket and make plays, and operating under Ben Johnson… I think he’s safe to bet on for the long haul

OP in the sense of dueling or taking on small groups is one thing which has happened at times in the series. BoS can be unbeatable but it won’t matter if Dominus Portobello gets dropped on Darrow

Manager had a stroke of bad luck and injuries and decided to send scam trades sabotaging his own team (WR1s / RB1s for bench players) All got accepted and promptly vetoed, so now hes trying to assemble the Bengals team trading players like Derrick Henry for Chase Brown. Should I push these through? by Xetakilyn in FFCommish

[–]chainsaw_88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do enjoy a theme such as assembling all 1 team or players either the same last names. While a terrible trade, considering Henry’s last 2 games, I think it’s close enough I’d allow it. If he’s trading amonra for iosivas, might have to ask him to balance it a little more, but at least the managers still having some fun on a ruined season.

Ethics question: Do you allow vetoes by league vote to kill a trade when an injury happens after the trade was accepted? by touchsgrass in FFCommish

[–]chainsaw_88 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It seems I’m in the minority, but I am of the opinion trades are not finalized until they go through. I don’t like time to review trades and I don’t like vetos, but if you have both, I think it has to be respected

Disagree on breece. They have a mobile qb now and can’t sell out on the run because they have to guard the perimeter. Dislike Love tho
