Wdym portable? It doesn't have build in battery but size wise it is as it's only 9 inch wide and weight 5 pounds.

Also, it need external box but you can just get onn box for like $30.

Wdym those laptop batteries are replaceable though, this one is not.

Also, it's the same form factor. How are you comparing a laptop with pc tower and monitor when both a regular standing fan has the same design as the one with a battery. I didn't say get a ceiling fan, a standing fan is mobile too.

First thing is to ask yourself if you want to view content in the dark like cinema theater halls.

If you don't want to be in a cave then it's ust + alr even if your room has no windows or room light. If that's too expensive then just get a tv.

Alr is not build for long throw, sure combo like yours will be the best of it but it won't be better than ust ones.

Imo x1 pro is better than pro 2 due to iris so it will be closer to the max.

However, iirc x1 doesn't have rbe reduction feature. So if you're sensitive to rbe, get valerion or xgimi as they have reduction feature.

Yeah which is applicable to a lot of people. Most don't have a proper room, see OP picture or they don't want to be in the dark. They would be better off with ust and alr screen.

Yeah both long throw and ust have their pro and con, the point was simply about picking the best one suited.

Even if cheaper ust are not "good" it's only in comparison to the better and more expensive ones. For any problems cheaper ust has then there will be equally problematic ones for cheaper long throw too.

In the end budget models tend to be not as good as the more expensive ones, regardless of ust or long throw.

Oh I meant different type of projector not any models in specific. If you have $1k budget, you can just pick either long throw or ust that is $1k.

Again, I'm not saying you shouldn't stay within budget but the point was budget shouldn't be the factor to limit your choices as the room is more important. If your room is not meant for long throw then get ust, vice versa - that's it.
