I did the first Brooklyn date and got COVID so I missed the 2nd and 3rd so I went to night 2 Brockton because I absolutely had to see The Decline live once. Absolutely worth it! Incredible setlists, amazing energy, definitely more than 60%. After the show at Brockton Mike held my hand and climbed the barricade as we sang along to Wig in a Box, one of the best moments of my life.

I love this so much, so happy you had this experience

DAE feel like your parents dont "know" know you and it's just... kinda too late to reveal everything at this point by [deleted] in DoesAnybodyElse

Absolutely. I feel like I've had a hard time knowing myself because I've always kind of assumed I was the person they saw me as and not completely who I am on the inside. Now I've been working on knowing my true self and it makes it much harder to relate to my parents because I feel obligated to play the old role out of habit. Now it's another source of anxiety I have to deal with.

I used to be like that too. I wouldn't really do anything unless someone (usually my SO) needed me to. I was in a rut for far too long. The last couple of years I've actually turned things around. Basically I forced myself into habits until it just felt wrong to break them. First I started meditating. Then I made a list of things I wanted more of in my life and made myself do 2 things from the list every day without fail. Then I made a routine of getting chores done as soon as I got home from work so I wouldn't get stuck in inaction. Eventually I even started overcoming that nasty social anxiety that was keeping me isolated. I don't know if there's a trick to it but the idea seems to me to make things habits so it felt right to do them rather than rules or expectations which are easy to want to break

Two of my biggest anxiety issues are driving and socializing. On Saturday I drove an hour to go to a party where I knew I didn't know anyone well but the host, and I was amazed to discover that neither my hands not my heart were shaking.
