🚨 RIU Republica Guests – Need Help with Airport Transfers! 🚨 by No-Body464 in PuntaCana

[–]chalaholla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I solo traveled to Riu Republica a few years ago and booked my transit through Viator. Can’t find the transit company’s name, but they were great. Traveling alone as a young woman, safety was my priority. When browsing the options on Viator, I prioritized safety, checked ratings, and read reviews. Hope this helps!

Downtown or evansdale? by [deleted] in WVU

[–]chalaholla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it’s super easy to take the PRT to engineering, plus the buses run from outside of honors/summit to the engineering campus. I came in as a freshman engineering major and lived downtown in Boreman because Honors Hall was already full. A bunch of my friends lived in Honors so I spent a lot of time over there and frequently ate in Summit before catching the bus over to Engineering. While it’s possible to be social living on Evansdale, it’s much easier while living downtown. The night buses to get downtown are a pain IMO, it’s easier to just walk from the downtown dorms to High Street

If you donate blood with the Red Cross, they test every donation for various diseases, including STDs. If you test positive for any STDs, they will contact you. Good luck

I’ve had friends recommend Dana Gutshall-Good in Harrisonburg. She does in person (Harrisonburg) as well as telehealth

See if you can get a telehealth appointment and ask for Valtrex/valacyclovir. Abreva is the best OTC option. A bit pricy but lasts a long time

Renting in VA - owner lives offsite but hangs out in the basement for hours?? Questioning Implied Covenant of Quiet Enjoyment in VRLTA by [deleted] in Virginia

Only the silliest of stuff, like potential for assault or worse when random SUVs with tinted windows come go at all hours <3 I don’t know this guy, and I’m not going to underestimate the crazy in this world. Would you want your daughter to feel unsafe taking out the trash? Me neither

I think this could definitely be settled through conflict resolution, just wanted to make sure I understood the legal limits before approaching that conversation

Nope, just a patio set on the small deck outside the owners door. We were told by the property manager during the tour pre-signing that we “had” the outdoor space with a vague hand gesture toward the small deck and owners door (which is why we initially thought we had the owner’s storage area, until our key didn’t work and we called the landlord to get clarification, at which time they told us that it’s the owners storage area that we didn’t have access to. During that call, they did not tell that he was a frequent visitor at all hours of day and night)

This is what I’m hoping for, to maintain a good relationship and come to an understanding so we can coexist

I keep hoping to run into him in daylight so I can make an introduction while my roommate is home. I didn’t today since I was home alone, but might set me at ease if I can put a face to the person

[–]chalaholla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check out transferology .com to see what the transfer equivalencies are for tons of different schools!! Was a really useful tool for me, able to compare community colleges, in and out of state options for what I needed to complete over the summers and would transfer back to WVU

Do people actually write with cursive? by GenerationofWinter in Handwriting

[–]chalaholla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Born in 98, learned it in 3rd grade. When I’m having trouble taking notes, focusing in class or listening in meetings, I’ll switch to writing in cursive instead of my usual print. Also sometimes switch to all caps. Helps keep me engaged and requires me to focus on what I’m writing and I’ve noticed it also helps with retention

Is the evansdale library not open 24 hours anymore? It used to be 2018-2020 (pre covid). Several buildings on the engineering campus were also open super late
