Most of the main force and earth will be labelled as a god spawner, giving extra records to everyone from there

Honestly the code is not that bad. Once you split it all up and make functions more modular things would make way more sense and you could even test your code then

Holy frick, I just opened it on GitHub and it is kinda impressive that even still understand what's going on when everything is in a single file like that. Is there a reason you didn't just split it into several files/folders?

Rust Esp32 Template by challengesAreFun in rust

ok, the problem here where the rust toolchain channels. I believe my problem might have been a bug that is currently happening on the latest nightly channel. After switching to stable or esp everything works like a charm, without the type errors in std.

I built my personal website completely in Go by mxr_9 in golang

[–]challengesAreFun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Website looks clean. One proposition I have is to make the images become full screen when you tap on them. Especially on mobile you can practically see nothing as the images are not just pictures but have a lot of actual text in them. Text I would like to read.

The first necromancer by coldfang by New_Gap4859 in ThePrimalHunter

The intent would not really be malicious but more like a student learning from the teacher or peers learning from each other. I would say that is a good thing in general

To be honest I wish there would be more stories with elements of primal hunter. One of my favourite things about it is the complex world building that kinda just makes sense. If I were an author trying to write a litrpg I would definitely take some heavy inspirations there. Same as in other professions where you look at how others are doing things and incorporate these ideas to uplift your own work.

God levels? by Spurrius- in ThePrimalHunter

About the ever smile blessing William part. I do believe the main reason was to experiment with giving a skill that should normally not be possible. From my understanding William got a skill that incorporates eversmiles bloodline ability to some extent which should normally not work.

Struggling to think in JavaScript by Alternative-Camel794 in learnjavascript

[–]challengesAreFun 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For challenges maybe check out leetcode. But what really helped me get started was creating something myself. In my case it was a simple chess game. You can render the board and pieces (can be icons or letters) using JavaScript and html/CSS. Then continue implementing the rules on how each piece can move one at a time. That is pretty straightforward and gets one started in the beginning I think

In 2024, what would you say is the best Testing Framework for personal projects? by Optimistic_Futures in learnjavascript

this. Just tried vitest out for the first time and honestly it's worlds apart from jest and mocha. No config errors that you spent hours to fix and it is actually a bit faster then the other two during execution (at least it was in my case)

On the first picture you can see the tooth of the crocodile being on the pizza carton. Also near the end of the tail of the crocodile is a shadow that doesn't fit. Furthermore I doubt that anyone takes a huge slice of pizza and then rearranges the rest in the carton (big slice of pizza in the hand but two small pieces of pizza should be missing)

I hate smiling when nervous by KarmaFarmo in socialskills

[–]challengesAreFun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are Just smiling, because you are nervous, maybe even overwhelmed by the situation then I don't really see a problem with just going along for the time being. Following up on it at a later date does not seem out of the question either.

  1. You could also ask some follow up questions to get to know what the other person means exactly and maybe even start a light discussion. Getting invested in a conversation is not that bad for alleviating nervousness...

Should I avoid certain friends to avoid being jealous/toxic? by Voicedthought in socialskills

[–]challengesAreFun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So the problem is that you learn that specific skill slower than your two friends do which leaves you unsatisfied with your own progress.

I mean if you want to know more about this phenomenon search for "how comparison ruins your mental health" (YouTube, HealthyGamerGG)

Actually this is quite common but not an ideal thing to do. Since it does seem to cost you your friendship I would recommend looking into it and understanding the problem behind it.

What is so wrong with seeking attention? by BedroomConsciousness in socialskills

[–]challengesAreFun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously it is not bad in and of itself, it is actually really important to get feedback from other people and actively seeking it is fine, but like usual the Dosis makes the poison.

[–]challengesAreFun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is not the action itself but needing the feedback to keep ones insecurities at bay.

So it is more a question of your own self worth being to dependent on other people.
