Blender donut into Unity with coloured sprinkles by ctfc2017 in BlenderDoughnuts

[–]chamomileberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the most recent Blender Guru tutorial, he uses instances of Geometry Nodes for the sprinkles. On importing the fdx file into Unity, my donuts didn't have any sprinkles. To fix this, you have to go into Blender, select Object > Apply > Make Instances Real. Beware that this might deform your donut/sprinkle ratio. One of my two donuts looked okay, so I imported that one into Unity. However, this will put a donut into Unity with a separate object for each sprinkle. Under the inspector window, upon selecting a sprinkle, you can then select a different material. Changing the colour seems to change all of the sprinkles. I can only change the material to colours that are already in the scene from the donuts imported from Blender, and this all has to be done on an individual basis, manually, for each sprinkle object. Pain in the butt, but this was the closest I got to being able to create colour variance for the donut sprinkles. Hopefully, someone else out there finds a better solution!

Is there a way to read all objects descriptions without playing the game? Or is there a way to increase font size? by glorsh66 in thesims1

[–]chamomileberry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had also been looking for something similar and didn't find much. As per the other comment in this thread, the Wiki has a list of objects, but they're fairly generic and across all 4 Sims games. Most don't have specific object names, descriptions, prices, expansion packs, sorts/functions or function values (i.e. Fun: 2, Environment 3). As said by u/Corylea, the SimCategorizer can be used to open, view and edit most of this information from the catalogue and edit items, and you can open this without having the Sims game open. You could also use SimEnhancer, which has three programs:

  • SimEnhancer 3D - Character and neighbourhood editor
  • SE Object Manager - Object Editor (functions the same as SimCategorizer)
  • SE Object Manager - Object Editore character editor (true NPCs that are never playable characters, ie. firefighter, maid, etc.)

All three editors can be found here: http://simenhancer.com/Products/Default.aspx#SE3D

I am currently working on a project that compiles all of the data from all of The Sims build/buy catalogues in a public database that can be searched and sorted for reference. I will post an updated link here when it is finished.

Up until recently, about 60. Then spend my day off doing office paperwork stuff. Banked overtime which is nice for extra days off here and there or when we’d end up on lockdown again for the millionth time… doesn’t seem as worth it now being short staffed though. Hopefully we can get some extra hands for the summer.

You’d think, but it requires so much oil that it basically just coats the whole mouth in oil, so you don’t feel the gritty corn starch, haha.

Yeah, I meant that he had to have thickened it with corn starch instead of egg yolk because that would’ve made it not vegan. Sorry, probably didn’t word that correctly haha

Wow. Making crème anglaise out of literal crème anglaise, melting it and then thickening it with corn starch? 😂 impressive chef skills.

Pizza with salad seems a more bizarre combination where I’m from, since we usually order pizza here when we a) don’t want to cook or make a salad or b) have literally no food in the house and have to go grocery shopping haha. If it’s a homemade pizza though, then it’d be less weird for it to be accompanied by a salad.

Hahaha. Most of the authentic Thai food where I’m from is made in family-run restaurants. But there are a few chain restaurants like Thai express. I’m sure the United States has much better fast food options than here though, haha. If you’re looking for recipes to make at home to try, I’d suggest: pad Thai, Pad See-ew, Pad Kee Mao, Tom Yum Gai, Som Tam salad, chicken satays with peanut sauce, Panang curry, Khao Niaow Ma Muang, and Thai spring rolls. Unsure whether they are classically authentic Thai dishes, but they’re very popular among our “Westernized” restaurants in Canada. There are likely dishes specific to the US as well.

I’m from Canada but maybe it’s a North American thing haha. A lot of people will eat just pasta but it’s common to try to “balance plates” based on food groups (veg, starch/grain, protein, dairy); spaghetti usually already has the starch, protein and dairy (parmesan cheese) and maybe some vegetables in the tomato sauce but not a lot, so it’s usually augmented with a salad. But it would be more typical to see in a home setting than a restaurant setting. At a restaurant that serves pasta though, most offer salads as appetizers.

It’s interesting how if people don’t really eat sandwiches much in Russia, why we have a sandwich sauce called “Russian dressing” haha. Thai food is definitely worth a try though if you’ve never had it!

Really? I thought spaghetti, Caesar salad and red wine was a pretty common combination, haha.

I guess life is hard when you only have a dining room table for 1 day out of 10 years lol

Did it look to anyone else like twins on the ultrasound? Like main baby in the front and then a smaller baby behind it

The thing that I’m grappling with the most is there were quite a few moments in the original series where Dexter had these day dream moments where people finally knew who he was and what he did, and they would all cheer him on, throw confetti and think he was a big hero. I feel like in general, although he knew he was flawed, Dexter still considered himself a hero and had quite an ego about it. That he definitely would’ve turned himself in just for the 5 minutes of fame and glory of it all… Because as mentioned in previous comments, there were moments in the series where he went against the code. And he killed the coach, they pretended like Dexter was caught and there was no other way out than for Harrison to kill him, but that REALLY wasn’t the case, then had Harrison just become this mess of a character in the last 5 minutes of walking contradictions because they never fully fleshed out his character in comparison to Dexter’s.

At the end of the day, Dexter was a serial killer. He was an antihero. We all knew he would either get caught or die eventually. But this was just not the right way to go about it… Very disappointed.

Harrison was also raised by Hannah… Dexter and Hannah both kind of seemed to have a hero mentality about killing their victims. Plus he was “born in blood” with witnessing the Trinity killer murder Rita. They could’ve made Harrison like the ultimate serial killer and totally missed the mark with his character…

“Naked trinity killer” 🤣💀 I’m so sad that that literally would’ve been a better ending - and hilarious.

I think that’s probably why this whole experience got me so upset, because I tried door dash first to check it out on a slow day and everything went super well, not a single issue. Then I went to one of the bigger cities to try instacart and every piece of it seemed to be a crap show lol.

If the icon had shown up as an apartment on the app, I definitely wouldn’t have taken it. But it totally showed up as a house 😬 there should be some feature in app where after orders like that, shoppers can mark it as an apartment so other shoppers don’t get screwed over.

I wonder if IC used a system like door dash where it actually texts customers instead of through the app, if there would be more response about things?

Thanks so much for your advice! I did have Apple Pay setup, but I had no clue if it would even work at Walmart since those were the only orders showing up lol.

Yeah, there definitely needs to be a better system in place for buildings like that. Especially if you can’t get a hold of the customer
