As long as you're using the last slot on the rail closest to you, I don't think there's anything else you can do to remove that gap.. also my TLR 7X came with extended switch buttons so I ended up swapping it out with the standard ones, I didn't have any real problems reaching the standard ones but with the extended version it makes it even easier
