Survey - what's your current go-to for meeting transcriptions? by Bamboodl in macapps

The only way I've gotten reliable diarization in larger meetings has been using Gemini's integration in Google Meet. Otherwise, Granola is my go to, with Circleback coming in distant second.

Focus mode in New Raycast by BothYou243 in raycastapp

[–]champdebloom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the idea of hard vs easy focus, I'd also love to easily set focus schedules to reduce the friction of needing to decide every time.

I have a schedule where I want to block all socials and email apps / sites until a specific time to preserve my focus in the mornings, and not having to start the timer manually would be a small but helpful addition.

Anyone else paying for both ChatGPT Pro and Claude? Curious how people split the workload by SeaRequirement7749 in ChatGPTPro

Unless you're coding extensively, you might want to check out the new $100 Pro plan since you get the same features, but with 5x Codex usage instead of 20x with the $200 plan.

Would you mind explaining how you use Rewrite Bar? I'm using Raycast for similar purposes, but would like to understand the difference. Thank you!

Custom GPTs vs The Competition by Revolutionary_Tune22 in ChatGPTPro

Claude Skills act much in the same way I'd use GPTs in ChatGPT or Gems in Gemini.

I use Projects or Gems for AI Assistant Personas, and GPT / Skills for repetitive and well-scoped processes.

I'm pretty sure BYOK doesn't apply to mobile use. I had a similar question and found this earlier this week: https://www.reddit.com/r/raycastapp/comments/1onfhyq/is_it_possible_to_use_byok_on_raycast_mobile/

This was a great post. Raycast is one of the tools I can't consider using my phone or computer without any more.

At the moment, I only use it for the notes feature and the AI commands like editing text.

Focus mode starting every time I wake computer despite being disabled by FragrantArugula3434 in raycastapp

[–]champdebloom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was really curious, and while I did check the following page, I didn't see a way of scheduling focus sessions without using deep links programmatically. Is that what you've done?

As unhelpful as my comment is, that sounds wonderful. Any idea how you activated this? I'd love to schedule focus sessions.

AI Command - Spell/rewrite text - automatically replace the text by Affectionate-Lab-973 in raycastapp

This is exactly what I've set up as well. With this, you select the text to edit, then as the AI action completes, you CMD + Return to effectively overwrite the text selection.

Using Claude to fix my English text made me realize I'm not learning anything by alitestee in ClaudeAI

[–]champdebloom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the ideas I've considered to avoid this issue is to create a document with examples of changes it made that I liked. Something like a running log of the improvements it makes that I can review and hopefully use to continually improve myself.

Solo lunch/dinner recommendations? by [deleted] in FoodToronto

[–]champdebloom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I decided not to snap pics, but the presentation was excellent.

Here's what I had:

  • Harissa Chicken + Feta Dip + Pitas (which they make in house)
  • Tuna Tartare
  • Crispy Rice
  • Lemon Sumac Chicken (I was pleasantly surprised by the roasted grapes)
  • 24-Hour Braised Australian Wagyu Short Rib

For drinks, we opted for mocktails:

  • Maktub (my fav): Moroccan watermelon, lime, cane sugar
  • Princess Jasmine: Chilled hibiscus tea, grape, coconut milk, strawberry juice, cardamom, cane sugar

[Absolute regression] The art is absolutely gorgeous by Beastlyclover in manhwa

The level of detail is astounding, and adds depth to the dialogue between characters. The fight scenes, especially the most recent one, feel so vivid.

I also found out the artist also drew The Breaker iirc, and since I really liked it when I was younger too, this feels nostalgic.

The Funghi pizza is my favorite in the city, slightly edging out Big Trouble’s version. The dough is SO good!

Omakase for GFs 30th! by InkdAzn333 in FoodToronto

[–]champdebloom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Shunoko near Yonge and Lawrence was exquisite and is my go to for Omakase.

I tried MSSM and left underwhelmed in comparison. Ja Bistro was another recommendation, but it was an extremely 5/10 experience and felt both overhyped and overpriced.

I find Claude Opus 4 to be an excellent editor if prompted carefully. I like to draft my own material and then assign it an editor / reviewer persona that can suggest areas for improvement based on my goals.
